Thread(1) Yesterday was possibly the most emotional and happiest day of my entire railway career. I was able for one final time to ding off a train at Sunny Seaford. Going into work today really won’t feel the same.

@1066shrimprail No but that is also a superb pub! They converted the old ticket office at Glynde into a pub with kitchen they do superb scratch cooking there. Recommend the burgers!!

@Coast_Conductor Is that the former Trevor Arms? Last time I went past (on Compass 125) it was still under revamp.

It wasn’t only the fabulous people and scenery that made the sunny Seaford branch my favourite. Off duty It provided a superb independent micro pub with a phenomenal range of tap beverages!

Been a busy few days as of late predominantly been down in 1066 country keeping the electrics moving and was blessed by the unit allocation gods again with a trio of marvelous metcams! A Strood and a trip to the Ramsgate Riviera placed me nicely into a weekend off 🐣🚂

No photos this evening however for the first part of my all day Networker Express turn the unit allocation gods treated me to a trio of Marvellous Met-Cams a rare treat nowadays!

@Steven_OnTrains Must pay them a visit at some point! I’ve gone for the iced variety at Black sheep.

A quick pit stop at @Se_Railway Tunbridge Wells before my next working up to London, and I can confirm that the newly refurbished Coffee Station does a lovely Cappuccino and looks brilliant inside!

Bit of a long one today. 9 hours 6 mins

The last two days I’ve had a first for both turns! Firstly on Saturday over on team green working a train from Platform at Redhill. Secondly short turns on the Medway Valley as far as Maidstone West warranting arriving and leaving from the same platform which I’ve never done.

Today’s adventure involved GWRs absolutely phenomenal Pulman Dining service from Paddington to Exeter. Started with the Salmon which is sensational, moved onto the steak which was phenomenal and finished the meal rather nicely with a Crumble and coffee. 10/10 highly recommend!

It wasn’t all about the Pulman though, a rather mixed weather afternoon walk along the sea wall and of course a trip to one of Devon & Cornwalls numerous request stops. Still feels strange seeing “Thames” turbos in their new found home down here. But good to see the 15XS still.

And welcome back to the 1066 electrics. After a week away catching up seeing faces old and new I returned to one of the more unique turns we have. This morning I worked the up Historic Hastings flyer which we never do. It also allowed me to tick off the last line I need too!

@evansonrails Indeed! The last time I was allocated this duty unfortunately I copying make it to Hastings because of engineering works so I missed out! And yes it was one I’ve been looking forward to for quite some time now.
