Why is #redmeat red, when flesh starts to decompose after death. Answer: Carbon monoxide is added to artificially extend the cosmetic appearance of #meat, to make you think it is 'fresh'. It's also classified as a Group 2A #carcinogen which means it probably causes #cancer.
