JUST IN🚨Senate Republicans just walked out of a closed door meeting to avoid a government shutdown and they are suddenly “optimistic” about a deal with Democrats.
The so called deal would pass 5 of 6 funding bills and kick DHS funding into a short term extension while negotiations drag on.
No. Absolutely not.
This is how Democrats run the clock, protect DHS from accountability, and kill enforcement quietly.
Hold the line. No DHS carve outs. No fake compromises. Either secure the border or own the shutdown.
