Did you even give Melanie 30 minutes of your time to watch her and her daughter's life changing story? If you did, how could you even say there is no flip side to success? Melanie gave every ounce of her time and energy to succeed in life in order to provide her and her children a better life, she had no excuses and never asked for anything. Now she will quite possibly be in debt for years saddled with medical bills because of her brilliant daughter's unfortunate life long diagnosis in her young life. Everyone of us need to show a little compassion and understanding to those that struggle to get ahead at no fault of their own.

Great inspirational story about those doing whatever it takes to succeed. On the flip side watch Melanie's story. Her will to succeed as a single mother was unmatched, then life threw her a curveball. Everyone should watch this woman's story. Her perseverance was insurmountable until life's obstacles had other plans. Have not seen Melanie on line in weeks since her last post, I pray her and her daughter are well. youtu.be/UBCGj-euzvE?is…

Barry: It's not about life sucks, we give up and die. Those that lost everything have not given up but they have at times lost the ambition to continue on. One aspect of life's obstacles throwing a relatively successful man a curveball is divorce and the child support that comes with it. That scenario in itself can keep a successful man down for eighteen years living in a studio apartment. I am merely stating some people know matter how much they try and how much ambition they have life has other plans for them. You cannot honestly tell me there are not attorney's, athletes, teachers, accountants, etc... that are living on the street now because of circumstances that were beyond their control. I have two brothers right now that were talented, successful and had everything but are now homeless on the streets of Albuquerque because the obstacles of life. It is heartbreaking. @barrycunningham @Brown72107 and @charitosoprano

Completely true Barry. The ambitious educated people we are talking about had no physical or mental issues. They encountered life's obstacles such as numerous layoffs, family betrayal, identity theft caused financial collapse, stock option scams which brought on financial collapse, accidents, sudden personal and family major health issues, etc.... Heartbreaking unforseen obstacles that destroyed otherwise ambitious successful lives. Those of us that made it through life without such major obstacles were blessed in life. Anyone of us were one of those obstacles away from success or failure in life no matter our ambition and education. I understand there are millions of success stories in life but we must also be compassionate to those that did not attain success through no fault of their own. @barrycunningham @Brown72107 and @charitosoprano

Fakeass News can't understand that the Trump economy is booming. Tickets for today's World Cup final are $6,000 and up! So much for the narrative that everyone is broke!

"No matter how much ambition and drive one has, sometimes life's obstacles can prevent success" Not at all true! (unless mental or physical issues)

This discussion is not about complaining and whinning. This discussing with Barry is about issues facing the younger generation here in New Mexico. No matter how much ambition and drive one has has sometimes life's obstacles can prevent success. To say to the people to "stay here where you are and ROT" after they have given everything to succeed is a cruel and degrading statement. @Brown72107 @charitosoprano and @barrycunningham

@barrycunningham That has nothing to do with it. Checking bidding process. It goes through a voting process by the FIFA nations.

@barrycunningham The WC was awarded to the US in 2018. It’s a competitive bid process. But yea kudos to the Trump administration for granting visas to 1000s of fans from many countries and not allowing ICE near stadiums. And the security infrastructure.

But your "facts" have contextual issues. It sounds like excuses. 1. If one job doesn't work. The wife can work. 2. Work 2 jobs 3. Work 3 jobs. 4. Work a linfer commute 5. You are describing someone working for a trap hourly wage which indicates low skill level What you are describing is someone who isn't homeowner worthy. (lest we forget...NO ONE is entitled to be a homeowner)
Robert Maestas@rmaestasart

For your information I am not a Libtard. My wife and I are conservatives and have been a 100% supporter of Barry Cunningham's show for years. What I was simply stating here is what the hurdle is for New Mexicans trying to purchase a $300,000 dollar home anywhere in New Mexico. Barry shows a house in Farmington New Mexico for $170,000. Finding a descent paying job of over $20.00 per hour in Farmington, New Mexico is rare, so purchasing the lower priced $170,000 home in Farminton would cause other financial issues. There are very few jobs in that area for young Americans. A $150,000 home with 3.5 % down would bring a $1200 a month mortgage payment for 30 years with today's interest rates. "To afford a $1,200 a month house payment, you generally need an annual gross income (income before taxes) between $43,000 and $51,000.Here is a breakdown of how that math works out and what is actually included in that payment. The Standard Rule of ThumbMost mortgage lenders use the 28% rule. This guideline states that your monthly housing payment shouldn't exceed 28% of your gross monthly income." "Farmington, New Mexico, faces elevated crime rates—with violent crime tracking significantly above national averages—primarily driven by deep-seated poverty (nearly 23% of the population lives below the poverty line), untreated mental illness, and a historical legacy of border-town violence toward marginalized Native American communities. The city's unique position as the primary economic hub of the Four Corners region also exacerbates the issue. While its official population is roughly 46,000, the area often swells to over 120,000 people on weekends, straining local law enforcement resources.According to local community sentiment on Reddit and Tripadvisor, much of the violent crime is concentrated within specific transient or at-risk populations. Additionally, Farmington struggles with a disproportionately high rate of property crimes, including retail theft and commercial burglary, as visitors flood the city." The next question we have would be is for young New Mexicans to relocate out of state. If New Mexicans struggle to find jobs and afford houses here in the state of New Mexico with probably the most affordable pricing in the nation how could they even possibly relocate? I am not trying to be a Debbie downer here, I am simply stating facts and obstacles facing young New Mexican Americans trying to get into their first homes. @charitosoprano and @barrycunningham
