@samuel_yostt yeah you gotta make sure your listing is maxed out, still working on improving conversions myself

@Cuki98 I've tried it but had no success with it tbh. Maybe because I didn't do any ASO at all

unpopular opinion: running Apple ads for your iOS app is peak lazymaxxing -> no TikTok algorithm to crack -> no IG reels roulette -> no influencer negotiations just show up when someone searches for your app and it prints

@itpapo4ka man this actually looks great, you gotta fix a bug when i select a template and then go back to select a different one, it wont show. Other than that it looks great and very responsive

@Cuki98 exactly. reviews help trust, but screenshots are where you test the promise itself. i like thinking about it as: screenshot 1 = positioning, screenshot 2 = proof, screenshot 3 = flow. appkit is built around that loop: appkit.store/screenshot-web…

@Idanref it's only expensive if nothing converts. if your listing is good the "diagnostic" just turns into a profitable acquisition channel. same spend, different outcome

@itpapo4ka totally agree, thats something im dealing with myself, trying to get my reviews count up and a/b testing the app screenshots to improve conversion

@Cuki98 apple ads are underrated because the intent is already there. the catch is that paid search exposes weak positioning fast. if the keyword is right but the page does not convert, the store listing becomes the bottleneck.

@sarrazola never said it was easy, said it was lazy. you still gotta nail conversion and keyword strategy. but at least you're starting with someone who already searched for what you built, try getting that intent on tiktok

@skyirezumi Maybe not as well, because people don’t be searching for that randomly, at least not that i know of, but you can try making a discovery campaign to see how people are finding your app. Apple gives $200 free credit to test it out so you dont have anything to lose

@Cuki98 Ok but this only works when people are searching your category, but when you have a super specific app like "Pushups before scrolling" that wouldn't work right?

@Cuki98 Right I hear ya. Funny enough this app that finally worked for me is a simple utility app. Almost questionable to have an onboarding. I still have one but it’s very short. Will keep tweaking thanks

@_aurumX ahhh makes sense, in utility apps intent is razor sharp, so i would'nt really bother with onboarding since the user most likely knows what they want. no transformation to sell like a fitness app.

@ZubiTheDev leave it alone at least a week, ideally two. apple needs a learning phase and if you keep tweaking you reset it. and honestly time matters less than taps. don't touch a keyword till it has 20+ taps or you're just reacting to noise, not signal

@Cuki98 How long should I wait before modifying my advanced ad? Assuming the ad performs better over time?

@_aurumX true, which is exactly why conversion is the real lever. if your funnel converts better than theirs, you can profitably bid higher than they can. they raise, they bleed. you raise, you still make money. that's the moat a bid war can't touch

@Cuki98 I realize that but then other competitors might increase their bid too.

@andresbustosp Both, a lot of people search for keywords. For Example "RPG game", "Dating app" etc etc, so it gives you the chance to position yourself first.

@Cuki98 Do people actually search keywords in App Store or they already know what they’re looking for

@skyirezumi that's the thing, you don't bid on your own name, you bid on the category. someone types "dating apps" with no specific one in mind and boom, you're the first thing they see. you're capturing people who didn't even know you existed yet

@ZubiTheDev go advanced. basic has no keyword control so you can't chase cheap long tail, ends up 15-25% higher CPI. apple gives you $100 free credit for both when you start, so just test both and see

@_aurumX max CPT is a ceiling, not what you pay. raise it and you'll prob still pay about the same per tap, you're just back in the auction. try it before giving up. Else try improving you app conversion which will allow you to spend a little bit more on ads while staying profitable

@Cuki98 I’ve tried ASA for all of my new apps. Finally had one working for a few weeks but then it stopped spending. My assumption is new competitors but I’m unwilling to spend more than what I am now for profitability. What do you recommend?

@weightsnapapp 100%. the obvious keywords are a bloodbath. but those long tail gems nobody's bidding on? printing money quietly

@Cuki98 Pretty huge oversimplification but yah can be elite if you can find half decent long tail keywords for low cpi

@MIDIDesigner this. TikTok reach means nothing if they never open the App Store. intent > eyeballs every time.

@binhn8 true, and that’s exactly why i obsess over conversion before touching ad budget. no point pouring traffic into a leaky funnel. dial in CR and LTV first, then scale paid

@Cuki98 problem: if your CR low and your return on ads less than 100%, you are losing money :)
