@averycode I'm going back to Da Nang in August for summer holidays. Shame I cannot be there this time. BTW, good luck!

@seraleev That's true. Is apple ads good Viktor? It seems expense with cost per download around $3

Day 8 of building apps to $10k MRR.
✅ Submitted a new version to the App Store with a fresh design.
Been debating building multiple apps at once — sounds like more opportunity, but for me it kills focus, adds stress, and drains time/money. Especially it kill momentum.
So: one app at a time. Fail fast, move on.

@binhn8 @landonaritchie you need to have 1k followers to put a link in bio

@timoxkoehler @landonaritchie Hi Timo, I'm new to tiktok hope you don't mind if I ask a question. How to put the link on tiktok video so people can download your app? I don't see that option for me. I'm using personal account so not sure if it is only available for business account.

Vietnam 🇻🇳 has what Cyprus 🇨🇾 didn’t:
> Big gyms
> Thriving community
> Public coworking spaces
I made the right move for me.
Still love ya Cyprus 🫶

I’m sitting in the airport and waiting for my 12-hour flight to Vietnam.
This is going to be the most transformational trip of my life.
In 30 days I’m either gonna have a successful SaaS or…
There is no OR!
As I’ll lock in with my co-founder and a bunch of successful founders in one villa to build some cool sh*t!
Da Nang, I'm COMING!

@tibo_maker That's inspired story. Thank you for sharing.
What is the thoughts process to choose which product to build and follow. How do you market it? Imaging if you ship 11 products in 4 months which make them is possible but marketing them is quite difficult.

lots of new faces here, so let me introduce myself again:
2015: built my first startup with my co-founder Tom - a kids app. 500,000 downloads. zero revenue - sold it and walked away
2017: raised €500K for a coding platform. signed a deal with Ubisoft. deal collapsed. company went bankrupt. €250K in personal debt.
2018: took a job as a CTO, kid #1 coming
2020: quit my job. planned to travel the world. COVID hit. stuck in France.
2021: partnered with Tom again. we shipped 11 products in 4 months. the first 10 failed. the 11th was Tweet Hunter.
2021: Tweet Hunter hit $100 MRR in 3 days. we knew we had something.
2022: crossed $1M ARR. won Product Hunt Maker of the Year. sold Tweet Hunter and Taplio to lempire for $8M.
2024: left lempire. started over with 5 new products. no VC. no investors. just revenue.
2025: Revid crossed $500k mrr and Outrank crossed $200k mrr
2026: crossed $1,000,000/month across the portfolio and still got called out for sharing free resources on my newsletter
took me a bankruptcy and tons of failed products to find my way - turns out that was the path
most of this was uncomfortable, but I just never stopped building
that's about it - see you around on the timeline 👋

@robj3d3 my wrist is broken and could not get MRI scan in the UK. It may take weeks or months. If I'm sitting on the beach in Da Nang, I can take taxi to hospital, get it done in 1-2 hours and back to the beach to continue drinking beer.
Ignorants keep saying about 3rd world, 1st world...

First worlders offended that developing nations exist.

"Vietnam is a third world country you can't move there!" okay bro 🇻🇳☕

I’m ready to share my formula.
Let’s go 👇
• Design
Bright icon and strong screenshots = higher install conversion.
• Quality first
I often enter existing niches, so my product has to be at least on par with the leaders.
• Onboarding
A well-thought-out onboarding + paywall can bring up to 75% of all payments. I use short video onboardings (4–5 steps).
• Step-by-step UX
Help users get results in as few steps as possible.
• Transparency
No hidden close buttons, aggressive paywalls, or price tricks.
• No lifetime deals
I fully dropped lifetime purchases. My goal is to grow subscriptions.
• MRR growth
Weekly + yearly subscriptions work best.
Weekly = easy try. Yearly = best value.
• Free trial
I use a 3-day trial to reduce fear and increase paid conversion.
• Retention
Nothing fancy: listen to feedback and ship improvements regularly.
• Brand
Unique name for every app. Competitors often use my brand in their keywords.
• ASO
Title, subtitle, and keywords must be data-driven. I always put the main keyword + app name in the title.
• Localization
The easiest growth lever. Translate keywords, screenshots, and the app itself.
• Pricing optimization
Prices adjusted by purchasing power. Sales come from all over the world.
• Use your own app
This is the best way to improve UX and find new growth paths.
• Marketing
Pick one channel and master it. One channel is enough to grow. For me right now, it’s Google Ads. Add a second channel only after you hit a plateau.
• Reinvest
Put money back into the business. At the start, I reinvested 100%. Now it’s around 40% back into ads.
Bookmark this and apply it to your apps.
