After almost a year of hearing @PeteButtigieg speak, his campaign ended & the advent of the coronavirus, Iโve been hearing a lot of world leaders speak. I realize everyday, NO ONE comes close to the eloquence of Pete. His articulation is art. We need his voice during this crisis

Honored to meet Pete Buttigieg today at the Jamie Ager for Congress event ๐บ๐ธ
Itโs always inspiring to connect with leaders who understand the importance of investing in our communities, infrastructure, schools, and future generations.

Appreciate Sec. @PeteButtigieg recognizing whatโs happening here in Northwest Georgia.
The turnout, the momentum, and a 25-point overperformance in one of the reddest districts in the country says it all.
People are ready for something different.
Leadership matters! #GA14

@PodSaveAmerica Hmm do we have to complicate things? He connects with people. He connects with me. Thatโs why his favorability rating is so high.

Love love Pete! Would make a wonderful President and having a young family in our White House might be just what we need to heal us from this nightmare

However you've lined up politically in the past, if you're worried about where our country is headed, you belong in this conversation. Here are my full opening remarks from last night in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thankful to the people of Oklahoma for such a warm welcome back.

#Pachinko is the greatest show Iโve seen so far this past decade. I desperately need people to try it in the vain hope Apple will renew the show for a third and final season. Youn Yuh-jung and Anna Sawai are in it! Go watch it right now!!!

@melton4iowa the smartest people in the room and actually listen, and has the deep compassion and drive to improve everyoneโs day to day lives. Nothing to do with him being gay, does he look masculine or not, is his name easily pronounced or not, is he too short, does he have a beard, etc.
English

@melton4iowa Guys, I think heโs trying to be nice, letโs be nice. I believe Pete will be a great president because he has the intelligence and experience to grasp both domestic and foreign policy issues, the nuance to navigate those issues in a practicable manner, will surround himselfโฆ

Pete Buttigieg is obviously very talented. He wouldnโt probably ever be my first choice in a presidential primary, but heโs clearly a special communicator. I went down a rabbit hole on his polling and commentary on why he wouldnโt ever be elected president. A lot of the commentary refers to his being gay. That same commentary ties that to the desire for many to have a masculine president and that he canโt be masculine because heโs gay. Obviously oneโs definition of masculinity is somewhat subjective but he seems plenty masculine to me. He served in the military (though thatโs not reserved just for men, of course), heโs a father, heโs led a huge department (though again thatโs not just reserved for men, obviously, but many definitions of โmasculinityโ include leadership). Itโs ultimately up to him to get to the root of what would hold him back in a presidential primary and proceed accordingly, but this gay men canโt be masculine stuff is dumb.

I'm really starting to think Buttigieg could win in 2028. Just from all pushback I got from MAGA morons for calling him the smartest person in whatever room he's in, I realize how scared they are of him. If anyone with his background can, it's going to be Pete.
Buttigieg 2028.
