@2858292747A @JonathanCohn If antisemitism doesn’t exist the. how come every Synogogue in the U.S. needs a SWAT team to protect it while anyone can walk into a church without dealing with security and a metal detector?

@JonathanCohn We’re told that Jews in America are so oppressed and antisemitism is such a big impactful problem facing Jewish americans yet Jewish DEMS alone make up 10% of the U.S. senate. Despite being 1% of the U.S. population. It’s such a farce. +No professions do Jews face discrimination

Want to see what a team of full transfers looks like? Watch Michigan celebrating a national title. Not even Dusty May is that excited. Bunch of guys who got enough $$ & formed a team. Not a group that actually had to grind for their program. Now the landscape of college hoops

@PDawg206 Agree. That said, today’s success is built on roster construction. Getting 5 players from 5 different schools, regardless of talent, doesn’t guarantee anything. May did a masterful job coaching this team.

Annual post: Bill Raftery is 82 years old… He won only 154 games in his college coaching career… His last season was while Michael Jordan was in high school… He really isn’t a good commentator… Yet, he’s somehow, once again, announcing an NCAA championship game. Unreal!

UConn had no business playing in this game. Duke and Michigan were the two best teams all year. The country deserved round 2 tonight & it’s a damn shame we didn’t get it.

It’s coaches like this that have pushed me to Coach the way I do for 33 years. The world would say he is one of the best college basketball coaches there is. Because he wins. But, he uses fear and anger to motivate his players. That’s no way to live. That’s not my kind of coach. Transactional vs Transformational. Fear vs Love. Immature vs Mature. It’s like watching a 2 year old having a temper tantrum. Tough to watch.

MAGA is fuming after Zohran Mamdani continues to deliver on campaign promises. Despite Republicans saying it could not be done, daycare for children in New York City is now free saving families $20,000 per child per year. Turns out you can accomplish amazing things when you stop giving tax cuts to billionaires and funding endless Middle Eastern wars.

@WalshFreedom I keep saying to myself that President should be above this and he has bigger problems to handle than going after people. What I realize is that winning 2 national elections is not enough to satisfy his ego and needs constant reinforcement.

@WalshFreedom @Timodc Same old playbook: Dem candidates run to the fringe on social issues to win the primary, then sprint back to the center for the general. It’s always been a balancing act—but the last few cycles have taken it to another level.

Respectfully disagree @Timodc. If a Dem candidate is asked about Hasan Piker, answer the damn question. If asked about the transgender issue, answer the damn question. Dems are too cautious, too afraid, and listen way too much to consultants & pollsters. Voters want real. They want authentic. Just tell us what you fucking think. And if you’re afraid to weigh in on certain issues, then don’t run. And btw, the Piker issue is not some “random obsession.” He represents a growing anti-Israel, antisemitic sentiment in the Dem Party. Candidates need to either embrace that or condemn it. But don’t fucking run away from it.
Tim Miller@Timodc

2028 Dems should tell every interest group with a blog trying to corner them on their random obsession to eat shit. Equally true for centrist and progressive groups. Ossoff does not need to weigh in on Hasan discourse or trans prisoner surgeries unless he wants to.

One thing about the Braylon Mullins shot that is not getting talked about enough is the patience, maturity, and presence of mind that Alex Karaban showed. Most players would panic and jack up a shot in that situation, but he knew he had enough time to get a better shot. Winner!

@VigilantFox The Democrats’ problem: their fringe is far from moderates, yet candidates cater to it and lose the middle. In a 2-party system, that’s a losing formula. Republicans don’t face it as much. More parties could help fix it.

Stephen A. Smith admits he “REGRETS” voting for Kamala Harris, says he doesn’t know “what the hell I was thinking.” “I also believed [Kamala] was the kind of person that… could work across the aisle.” “And then when I saw how things were unfolding and how out in the clouds the Democratic Party was even after they lost the election, I just said, ‘There’s no hope.’” “I said, ‘I don’t know what the hell I was thinking about believing that y’all would get it, because you still don’t get it.’” “Trump. You bring up the indictments, you bring up his behavior, you bring up all of these different things, and America still said he’s more normal than y’all.” “So I lost all faith.” Full Interview via @sagesteele: youtube.com/watch?v=aBSh8T…

.@ScottJenningsKY blocked me, he’s very thin-skinned, so I can’t reply directly to him, but I’ll help him here. Americans are angry about the “ballroom” bcuz what he’s doing is illegal, he doesn’t have the authority to do it. And bcuz that House is OUR house, not his. And bcuz, he’s trying to build a fucking palace. Just like we don’t have Kings in America, we don’t have palaces either. And btw, Jennings understands all this, but he’s paid by CNN to say he doesn’t understand.
