@Cholatak I think the use of the word "peace" has become a bit cliché in almost all the tournaments organized across the country. It's time to remove "peace" from the titles!

Lake State Peaceful Tournament ended in chaos and mayhem, to the point where the chair who organized the tournament was beaten and is now in critical condition. By the way, we need to analyze events first before giving them names. How does Peaceful tournament end with chaos?😄😢

@Letters_to_Deng @TheReich21 MT7 is an incredible talent, he may have some weaknesses but talent ain't one. On the other hand, I like the confidence Mapia One has in his brand, I think we need such guys in the industry and in society generally. Mapia One is more like A Pass of Ug. Let mandem blow his trumpet

Because they said MT7 is not a megastar that he think he is. That the only difference between him and Mapia One is that he speaks clear Arabic Juba. Btw I don't know MT7 music so I don't have any opinion on him. Cc: @TheReich21 come and screenshot this one for the boys

I don’t know who is copying who between these Dhak Twi East. Is it Deng Mill who wants to become like them or they want to become Deng Mill? Now, I know Buor were not the problem in jonglei even Ezekiel Garang is better than these guys.

@AyakoAguto Most of them are, they're willing to share as long as the man is a man of means. We're condemning this guy and yet most of us come from polygamous families, we don't condemn our polygamous uncles, brothers, cousins, and yet here we are!😀😀

@geulueth What was your contribution or suggestion to make our future better? Is it better to be resigned to the fate of a doomed future and leave the country to its own devices or can each one of us contribute in their own capacity and ability towards building a better SSD?

Yesterday I listened to a south Sudanese space where our country's foreign policy was being discussed! Overall our country has a long way to go & we need to start considering the possibility that we may never witness the prosperity of our nation , at not in our lifetime!

@siinchol That's an incredible take on the subject. Thank you for your prompt positive feedback. I believe the case of Petronas's exit is an early wake-up call and a reality check on our improvidence to take charge in such a case both financially and with technical expertise.

Petronas had a prior agreement with a British based and Nigerian owned company called Savannah Energy, not an oil major but has presence in Nigeria, Chad and another country; the government should allow that deal to go through. We are simply not attractive to any of the oil majors out there. Besides, the oil wells which were being operated by Petronas have been producing oil for decades, so you presume they are near depletion. Nilepet on the other hand does not have the financial resources and in-house expertise to take up the operations. Certainly some people know all these, but I suspect the hold up is not about technical decisions but more of a political and rent-seeking demands.

@siinchol My major takeaway is that our economy faces challenges due to Sudan’s war disrupting oil exports, however, Production declines, Petronas’ exit, off-budget oil income, and loan dependencies complicate our fiscal stability, risking economic and security instability.

@ArolDut Knowing a specific language is often a requirement in most jobs. Following your analogy of working in Khartoum, wouldn't it be reasonable to know Arabic? I believe someone who knows Arabic has an advantage over someone who doesn't, & the same applies to English in certain areas.

@modernemeid That's in an ideal situation. I presume you know of people or have relatives who don't even have "monogamoney" be polygamous. In this country, polygamy is seen more as a tradition rather than an economic status. Only a few are polygamous by choice& economic ability.

@Letters_to_Deng Most folks calling for war are safely out of the danger zone and are looking to score cheap popularity points. We shouldn't allow ourselves to be used again along tribal lines. We're more similar than different! Most youths go thru the same struggles regardless of tribe

As young people of this country, we can't afford another war. It's sad that some of you really want this war to happen given the way y'all are reacting to the rumours of Dr. Riek arrest.

@MayangTutk Don't incite others while you're safely out of the danger zone. For most of us, SSD is our only place and we need it at peace. We've already been killed economically, we can't afford another war. Calling for war won't make you a hero bro—believe that! #SayNoToWar

@siinchol We have to accept the fact that we can't get rid of each other ever, the only option we have is to resolve our issues at the negotiation table. We've tried war several times and it hasn't changed anything, no one really wins a war, so we must explore other avenues. We're tired!!

President Kiir and FVP Dr. Machar are like Siamese twins. The ARCSS cemented that. Whatever we do, we should always be cognizant of this fact. A dissolution of a marriage does not end between the couple, it will always involve others including the courts. The agreement we signed had Guarantors, we can't wish them away without consequences. Let's accept ourselves and use peaceful means to solve our problems. War can be won but the rift that will be left by the war will forever remain and will impede national cohesion and slow our progress as a nation. Nothing can substitute a peaceful nation and a peaceful country. God bless South Sudan.

@abyeideng_ Isn't it the work of the Bar Association and the Council of Engineers to award their members based on outstanding feats achieved in a specific area, be it innovation, advocacy, or invention? Is there a technical committee that nominates and vets people based on a given criteria?

@DengSupreme We'll not achieve anything by instigating violence, for one, 2 wrongs don't make a right. We need to preach peace and not rejoice when our "perceived foes" suffer, even the Bible discourages that. Deep down, we know who the real beneficiaries of violence are—it's not common folks

The key part of this appointment is not being the Vice President for Economic Cluster, but the fact that he will succeed Dr. James Igga as the 1st Deputy SPLM Chairman. That's the future, that is the gist of this reorganization of the Presidency.
