It's about framing. If AEW was some plucky, humble upstart, 3000 would be great. They aren't. They have been around for 7 years now, attendance has been going down year over year for awhile now, yet "journalists" gaslight us and act like it's not. Seriously, I can deal with Tony doing it. He's the owner. It's his job to make it seem successful. I understand the wrestlers and fans doing it. They WANT to believe it. No, the problem is that the people who are supposed to be cutting through the bullshit and telling us the real story only do that for WWE and TNA. When it comes to anything bad about AEW or a company they associate with, it's either sugarcoated or outright ignored. Meanwhile, The Miz farts in the same room as Triple H and it's reported that he's "frustrated backstage". The "IWCNN" fuels all of this. They start the cycle because they have a vested interest in AEW. It's not Tony's fault. He SHOULD be offering access in return for loyalty. It's the pundits who take him up on it that are the problem.
