Anthony Volpe I put Schlittler on here not because he underperformed, but because we now need him to perform for a full season and not just a few starts at the end of the season. We also need Bird to become a reliable arm in the bullpen. He has the stuff. Can’t afford to have a guy with his stuff not be productive in relief this season.
