I notice that Jeremy Vine covered my story this morning about the Reform UK prize fix. He had Anne Widdecombe on and asked her about it in a joking fashion, and Anne was comfortably allowed to bat it away as a conspiracy, despite being shown the picture I found of her and Raymond Dibble together. I suppose I should be grateful for a name check, he called me 'critics on the internet'. 😂 Surely, that's slightly disparaging to Byline Times, who ran it on their front page for four days. But it's just another Reform UK day whereby they fix a competition in an election period, and have it laughed off by our media. I've published the piece as an 𝕏 Article now as well so you tell me. Does this not stink? Article Link: x.com/donmcgowan/sta…

@MyArrse @HelenSalmon2 What about the 500m that he already owed in tax that he thought Johnson could arrange for it to be written off?

You’re only ever one tragedy from being on benefits. For me I had a partner, a beautiful family, then he got sick & died. I had 4 kids; they were 15yrs, 6yrs, 5yrs & 3yrs old. We were grieving, I couldn’t afford childcare, didn’t have a family to help me. It destroyed us. All /1

@Franklin_Graham @realDonaldTrump His press secretary told him the pr would say the image was doctored. He misheard and said he was depicted as a doctor. The guy is a fucking moron.

I had received some questions about President @realDonaldTrump's recent posts, and here are my thoughts: I do not believe President Trump would knowingly depict himself as Jesus Christ—that would certainly be inappropriate. I’m thankful the President has made it very clear that this was not at all what he thought the AI-generated image was representing—he thought it was a doctor helping someone, and when he learned of the concerns, he immediately removed the post. When I looked at the illustration, I didn’t jump to the same conclusion as some. There were no spiritual references—no halo, there were no crosses, no angels. It was a flag, soldiers, a nurse, fighter planes, eagles, the Statue of Liberty, and I think this is a lot to do about nothing. There is so much ill-intended speculation. I think his enemies are always foaming at the mouth at any possible opportunity to make him look bad. And the illustration from someone else he reposted on Truth Social yesterday, I must say that I like the fact that this is a picture of Jesus whispering in his ear, or at least His hand on his shoulder, guiding him. We all need that—we all need to be listening to Jesus. Again, I think there is an attempt to spin this into something that it isn’t. Remember, President Trump didn’t draw this, he didn’t create it, he reposted it on his social media because he thought it was nice—I would have to agree. I’m not a Catholic, I’m an evangelical, but I appreciate how President Trump has defended religious freedom for people of all faiths, including millions of evangelicals and Catholics in the U.S. and around the world. He is the most pro-Christian, pro-life president in my lifetime, and he doesn’t shy away from it. I would hope that the President and Pope Leo can meet at some point, and that the Pope would have the opportunity to thank the President for his efforts to protect religious liberty for Catholics and people of all faiths.

@foggedoff73 @donmcgowan Are you familiar with “treating” and illegally harvesting voter data? And I’m completely ignoring that the “winner” had an association with Farage and Reform for several years.

@donmcgowan It was won by a Reform UK member, and her entire street as promised. Hardly a shocking stat, and not especially newsworthy. 😆

@Dave20Red @I_amMukhtar @Lady_Barrington The car was trying to move. But yeah let your anti reform/Farage bias & agenda just ignore it. The security did their job moving the muppet out of the way from possible injury.

A 75-year-old disabled pensioner was manhandled by Nigel Farage’s security after trying to take a photo of Farage’s car parked in a disabled bay. Don Whittle said that "They were lucky. I could have used my martial arts training."

@I_amMukhtar @Patrici89225734 Reform will do all the necessary heavy lifting to ensure they are defined as political prisoners. Grafted all their lives, lived through the “blitz”, paid their taxes, hounded by the left wing mob…..

@I_amMukhtar @Lady_Barrington The muppets with their outrage here are the same muppets who laughed & cheered when Nigel Farage had a milkshake thrown at him when it could well have been something more sinister. Now they begrudge him being protected? Fkn morons.

@I_amMukhtar Unfortunate but not worth the risk of letting someone unknown get too close to a MP. Especially with the amount of people who dislike Nigel. But people do like to complain nowadays over pretty much anything.

The most quoted "there's no spoon" scene from Matrix is the most misunderstood scene. The boy tells Neo the spoon doesn't exist. Most people think this means "nothing is real, everything is simulation." Wrong interpretation. Completely backward. The spoon exists. The child exists. The conversation exists. What doesn't exist is the boundary between the spoon and Neo. The separation is the illusion. When you try to bend a spoon with your mind, you're operating from the assumption that "you" are separate from "spoon." Subject acts on object. Mind controls matter. That duality creates the impossibility. The child figured out something neuroscientists are just confirming: Your brain doesn't distinguish between self and environment the way you think it does. The neural networks that represent "your body" extend seamlessly into the networks that represent "the space around your body." The boundary exists in language, not in neural reality. For example, a tennis racket becomes an extension of your arm, a race car becomes an extension of your body. The instrument stops being separate and starts being you. The spoon bends because Neo stops treating it as external. The separation dissolves. There's no spoon to manipulate because there's no separate self doing the manipulating. This is grounded in science. Embodied cognition research shows your brain can map the tools and objects you focus on as real extensions of your body schema. Pianists’ brains often represent piano keys within their finger map. Surgeons’ brains can represent their instruments as extended limbs. The Matrix scene was accidentally teaching applied neuroscience disguised as sci fi philosophy. The real takeaway: Stop trying to change things outside yourself. Recognize that the "outside" is a cognitive construction. The spoon bends when you realize you are the spoon.

Please don’t be fooled by Rachel from Accounts trying to blame our terrible growth forecast on Iran. IMF says UK’s “reliance on imported energy” is our biggest problem. Effect of war is “modest”. Labour has pushed us to the brink of financial catastrophe. @RachelReevesMP

How is a dig at an incompetent politician, dangerously out of her depth, demeaning to all women, Deborah? I think actually you are being sexist. Rachel’s gender has nothing to do with this, or @AllisonPearson’s comments. It’s like suggesting that a negative comment about Keir Starmer is demeaning to all men. In other words, it’s absurd.
