Our Division III Criminal Court team secured a GUILTY verdict this week against 61-year-old Randy Anderson for stealing packages off a Nashville porch last April. As a career criminal, Anderson faces 15 years, the manner of punishment to be determined by a Judge next month.

A Nashville jury found 28-year-old Redear Haji guilty yesterday of the 2022 murder of Amanda McComb. Nashville Assistant District Attorney Jan Norman showed how Haji opened fire on McComb as she fled his home with a backpack of drugs. Haji will sentenced next month. @TNDAGC

Happy World Down Syndrome Day 2026! Nashville District Attorney General Glenn Funk with his amazing son, Rob, and DA employee, Media Analyst Will McMillan. The 21st day of March represents the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down syndrome.

Testimony from the Grave helped convict 28-year-old Leronte Burks of attempted murder. Testimony obtained during a pre-lim hearing in 2021 from a now-deceased witness was played for the jury by Prosecutor Jan Norman. Result: Guilty for Burks. Justice for the victim.

Justice for the family of Terece Patterson. A Nashville jury found James Harris GUILTY of killing him during a 2023 fight. Harris unsuccessfully represented himself during trial. With this being his 2nd violent crime conviction, he could get life in prison at sentencing.

While these linemen were out restoring power during Nashville’s recent ice storm, their personal vehicles were being burglarized. This week, ADA Jenny Charles made sure the suspect’s case got bound over to the Grand Jury, saying it was a joy to help these ice storm heroes.

We are proud to welcome attorney Kevin Kelly to our staff. Mr. Kelly has been a Public Defender, cofounded Eastside Legal, and had his own private practice in Nashville. He now brings his expertise to our Domestic Violence Division. We are honored to have him. @TNDAGC

Remember last October, when a 59-year-old Nashville man was found guilty on more than 20 counts of child rape and similar offenses? Today, our Crimes Against Children Prosecution Team secured a sentence against him of 112 years. Justice.

Say hello to our new Assistant District Attorney, Jeffrey Daigle. Mr. Daigle had extensive legal experience in California before starting his Nashville practice in 2007. He’s also served as a Magistrate for the past several years. We are proud to have him on our staff!

JUSTICE for the family of Jadon Smith. Last night, a Davidson County jury convicted 61-year-old Melvin Nettles of killing Smith on Jones Avenue in November, 2021. Courageous witness testimony, along with great work by MNPD and the DA’s team sealed the case.@MNPDNashville
