UFC has decided to massively increase payouts — not to the fighters, of course, but to the owners and executives.
UFC owner Ari Emanuel saw a huge increase in his pay from 2024 to 2025.
His pay jumps from $18 million to $67 million in 2025.

Gambling is addictive by design and it’s being pushed on kids whose brains are not even fully formed. They are developing habits in their teens & 20s that could ruin their entire lives.
We should be taking this just as seriously as smoking or drinking, if not more.

Sean Strickland's comments at his media day were as inflammatory as it gets. There have been very, very few fights in the UFC that have escalated to this level of animosity.
I just hope the UFC is truly ready for something very bad to happen next week. What I mean by “very bad” is something happening that could cause this fight to be called off.
These comments aren’t just antagonizing Khamzat Chimaev, but the entire Islamic community. This is creating a potentially very dangerous atmosphere heading into fight week.

This makes 0 sense! How do you not include kids who fit the standards of the rule? This senior class had to deal with 24 year old COVID kids as freahman, guys getting 6 and 7 years of eligibility and now they aren't allow their 5th year. Just horrible!

Looks like if the new age based NCAA eligibility rule is implemented (which would allow for five seasons of DI competition), it won’t grandfather in athletes who exhausted their eligibility this year.

The 2022 baseball recruiting class got screwed from the start.
They walked into the NIL explosion, fought for playing time behind COVID super-seniors, navigated nonstop transfer chaos, and didn’t even have full scholarships until THIS YEAR.
Now the new 5-to-play-5 rule gives every younger class a full extra season while they get cut off at 4.
Fair fix: True 4th-year seniors deserve ONE optional 5th year at their current school only. No transferring for the extra year.

NEWS: NCAA President Charlie Baker told ESPN today that he’s “pretty optimistic” that the new aged-based eligibility proposal will happen. The DI Board of Directors met today and will recommend to not implement this rule retroactively for graduates/exhausted eligibility. “If you’ve used up your eligibility, you’ve used it up,” Baker told ESPN of the tenor of the discussion.

These are the current NCAA penalty guidelines for sports betting violations. The NCAA in October passed a rule allowing players/staff to vote on pro sports, but it was rescinded a month later when more than 2/3 of D1 schools voted to reverse the change.
