@HotspurLane @JacobsBen Typical of their egos to get in the way of an obvious appointment that would bring hope and a rejuvenated sense of attachment back to the fanbase. I like DeZerbi but Poch was always the best move.

@InvertTheWing Am i crazy to think that Welbeck for one year makes more sense than either of the current strikers? I know it's not happening for multiple reasons but it shows where our forward line is atm.

Mitoma, Verbruggen, Van Hecke in the summer. Sell Dragusin and Vicario. Integrate Mikey Moore. Get rid of Solanke, get in another 9 capable of starting (I have been convinced more by Richarlison throughout this season as a backup). Sign another Right Winger. Don't extend Palhinha's loan. Get rid of at least one more midfielder (Bissouma could be good under De Zerbi, but we will see.). Bring in 2.

Bernardo Silva is leaving when the time is right. His decline is obvious to see, but he is leaving whilst he is not completely washed. A good servant. Elliot Anderson is the obvious replacement. A workhorse ball carrier with elite ball retention and progression, able to play anywhere in midfield. +Homegrown.

Impossible to argue this. Postecoglou didn't just win a trophy, he also finished 5th in the first season (missed on UCL because 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 clubs were poor in Europe that year) and was 90 minutes from Wembley in the League cup in his second. Mourinho might have been 2nd if Levy wasn't doing Levy things. But without the trophy, Conte's top 4 charge is clear. Nuno > Frank because he definitely did better in that short spell. Frank was given more time and did way worse + he was backed waaay more in the summer window. #thfc

Needs a system that suits him perfectly in order to really shine. Angeball was perfect for him because his physical capabilities can thrive in chaos and games with high tempo where you are expected to make mistakes. Under RDZ, he will be eaten alive. I expect him to be way down in the pecking order when it comes to midfielders.

Used to be incredibly, incredibly high on him. Especially the first season under Ange, thought he could become an all action midfielder. But harsh reality is, he has improved absolutely nothing. Which is incredibly concerning. He is exactly the same player he was in his first season. That being said, he is a nice squad/rotation player that can play in either midfield role. Wouldn’t count on him as a consistent starter though.
