Today the Delaware County Health Department held a Biological Functional Exercise in partnership with PA and Federal partners. Council member Elaine Paul Schaefer was honored to give the opening remarks at the 5th Annual Delaware County Sustainability Conference this morning. Thank you to the Office of Sustainability and Swarthmore College for hosting the event and showcasing their hard work building a more sustainable future for Delaware County. The event also included a keynote presentation from Steve Ward of Scranton Tomorrow, a presentation on the impact of data centers, a networking session, and breakout sessions about a variety of topics, which Council Chair Richard Womack proudly participated in.

At tonight's Council Meeting, Councilmembers heard from Interim Human Services Director Chris Welsh on the vital role of social workers in societal welfare and recognized March as National Social Work Month. Delaware County Council will hold its next Regular Public Meeting tonight, Wednesday, March 4, at 6:00 PM in the Public Meeting Room on the 1st floor of the Government Center, 201 W. Front Street, Media PA 19063. Council meetings are held bi-weekly to review contracts, discuss County initiatives, and hear public comments.
