Friday, we were honored to welcome the Marple Newtown Concert Choir, led by Director Rachael Ditri, to the Capitol as part of the Singing in the Capitol Series, happening this March. We are grateful to Rachael and the Marple Newtown students who shared their voices with us.

This week, I was happy to welcome Shaina Bijlani, a sophomore from The Agnes Irwin School, to the Capitol in Harrisburg, where she had the opportunity to see the Senate in action. Passionate about public service & an active volunteer in her community, her curiosity was inspiring.

To all celebrating Eid al-Fitr, which marks the close of Ramadan, we wish you joy, prosperity and hope. May it bring renewed compassion and understanding, enriching both our local communities across the 26th District, our region, and the broader world. Eid al-Fitr Mubarak!

Today, Cpl. Timothy J. O’Connor Jr—a 15-year PA State Police veteran who was killed in the line of duty during a traffic stop in Chester County on March 8—was laid to rest @ St. Joseph Parish in Downingtown. Our thoughts are with his family, fellow troopers, and all who knew him.
