@BaseballBros I just realized he didn’t get jammed, not off the end of the bat, which makes it much easier to hit it out than if he got jammed, even though he broke his bat.

Do you chalk this Barry Bonds broken bat homer up to skill, luck, or roids?👀🤔

The difference between good hitters and great ones? The 30 seconds before the pitch. While everyone else fidgets and stares, elite hitters run a mental routine that separates noise from clarity. Lock in self-belief and approach. Understand the situation. The count, the defense, what just happened. Ask one question: “What do I need to do here?” Not “what if.” Just: what’s my job right now. Why it matters: Baseball moves fast. Your mind moves faster. Without a pre-pitch routine, you’re leaving your at-bat to chance. With one, you control the only thing that matters, your preparation and focus. The pitches will come. Be ready before they do. Save this and be prepared.

Do you think Giancarlo Stanton is a future Hall of Famer? “As long as he keeps producing and gets close to 500 [HR], which I believe he will, people are going to be shocked at how easily he gets into the Hall of Fame.” @mike_petriello | #MLBNHotStove

Cam Schlittler was throwing 90 in A-ball two years ago. He had a 5.21 ERA in 5 games. Look at him now. It's not a surprise why pitchers prize velocity so heavily, or why it's so much harder to hit when they do. #results" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast-searc… (No tracking data from AA, sorry.)

@DaveyGravey42 @padsfanatic Ratings are actually picking up pretty good. But yes, I agree it’s BS. I’ve been impressed overall with the umpiring this post season compared to some I saw in the regular season. It was so bad.

I’ll leave this here. I can’t stress enough, baseball will continue to be a shit game until they start embracing technology - there is 0 excuses for not having 100% accuracy on balls and strike calls in 2025. Teams aren’t running payrolls of 300M and selling out stadiums so we can see what some old ass boomer thinks a strike and a ball is. And they wonder why ratings are tanking.

@Duffy_Domino @MLB It makes sense on the surface, but the slower you swing, the earlier you’re going to need to start your swing, and the earlier you start your swing, the better the chance you’re going to swing at a bad pitch, or totally get fooled by the pitch.

@DevXPD @MLB I was thinking more of a half swing, or, a tad more than a bunt.......... but Ok, I got it.

@Duffy_Domino @MLB Hitting doesn’t work that way. When you try to just swing soft and guide the ball, you’re just making it easier for him to strike you out. The goal is to always find a good pitch to hit and put a good swing on it. Anything fast up in the zone and you have no chance so stay off it

@MLB Very nice. But, do ya think the batters could just...........punch the ball over the infield? Forget trying to hit a HR against that, or trying to take a full swing.....

@PitchingNinja If anyone needs to answer the question “How did the @Braves pull off such a miserable season “ … you can find your answer right there. Letting Fried go proves the Braves won’t spend to be a serious contender

@PitchingNinja That was the nastiest I’ve ever seen Max. Saw him use all 7 pitches. Used a great mix and pounded the zone. I love pitchers who can effectively change speeds with their fastball like Max. You’ll see anywhere from 92-99.

@OleTimeHardball 100% absolutely yes. Along with Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens and every other player in that era. My opinion. They faced guys doing the same thing they were doing. They would have been HOF'ers anyway. Give them there rightful place in the Hall.

@OleTimeHardball You put his stats in there as if it matters. He’s a 1st ballot guy looking at his stats. The issue is the whole cheating thing. And for that….im out.

@T_Yak_802 @OleTimeHardball Just because people have been saying it for a long time doesn’t just make it go away. It’s not played out at all. They cheated. Plain and simple. You don’t get to cheat then get rewarded for it. You think Lance Armstrong should have his TDF back?

There’s an assertion Barry Bonds accomplished enough in Pittsburgh to warrant the HOF .883 OPS 147 OPS+ 176 HR and 556 RBI 3x GG 2x MVP 50.3 WAR Is that a Hall of Fame resume?
