Q: How does the “New 5 in 5”rule affect athletes that plan on playing a year at a D2 school with hopes to transfer to D1. Will they have 4 years of eligibility left? A: Under the new 5-in-5 rule, if an athlete plays one year at a Division II school and then transfers to Division I, they would have four seasons of eligibility remaining. The eligibility follows the athlete, not the division. They still must meet NCAA transfer and academic requirements.

@alanpalmer34 @tommyreamon Reality There isn’t a lawyer that cares about this because there isn’t money to make They pretend like they are doing this for all athletes when all they care about is billing by the quarter hour

@JaxonChaney3 @usanewshq If you want to be technical He caught the ball took a step and then dribbled That is the first violation Then he collected and took 3 steps The rule isn’t both hands on the ball The rule is the ball stops moving

@HateradeCentral @usanewshq You are 100% correct The NBA changed the definition of a travel to help increase scoring amongst a group of players that struggle to actually dribble and score without taking 3 or 4 steps and changing pivot two or three times

@usanewshq I see a lot of retards in the comments so help yall. LeBron caught the ball in mid transition then bounced the ball once and took three long strides before taking a layup. Here are the rules to traveling in the NBA:

We have a second lawsuit against the NCAA over the new age-based eligibility rule, this time a federal putative class action claim led by Cal basketball player DeJuan Campbell. Campbell alleges the new rule violates both Section 1 and Section 2 of the Sherman Antitrust Act.

I’m going to repost everyone of these kids I find who have had their commitments pulled due to the recent NCAA 5/5 ruling…Please note - they are not clients of ours at @TheProPlayersoc - We just have to help any small way we can…

Unfortunately, due to the new NCAA 5th year rule my recruitment is back open. It’s unfortunate, but I know I will end up where I meant to be. OB/CB c/o 2027 GPA: 4.67/4.0 @CoachGusMota @ImYouthSoccer

The correct way to hold people accountable is to say, this is college athletics and no one forces you to play. You do so willingly and you do so with the understanding that it is in exchange for whatever financial aid package the school offers you for school. If you want to be treated like a professional then join a professional league. If it were so true that the athlete is what generates the revenue and not the name of the university then someone would have already started a pro league that allowed players to be drafted before the nfl allows

@coach_tack I agree Just like 25 year olds should not be playing their 6th year of college football or basketball

Well Said! However.....Math is VERY hard for most of the USA population which is why so many had a hard time understanding it A player would have to graduate High School at the age of 20 for it become an issue.
Brian Klee 🏈@coachklee

People struggle with reading this wording. If a person turns 19 DURING their senior year they still have 5 years of college because it is your age at the START of an academic year: 18 HS Senior 19 Freshman 20 Sophomore 21 Junior 22 Senior 23 Graduate Year

Ohio allows 19 year olds to compete as long as they don’t turn 20 before graduation I think all other states ban 19 year old from competing during the season Most states use August 1 as the deadline All eligible athletes must be 18 or under on August 1 to compete that school year

@AaronGogley @goughy23 @TheProPlayersoc It would be very funny for every player that loses a scholarship to a class of 26 graduate who is now suing for an extra year of eligibility, turn around and files class action lawsuits against those players and their attorneys for violating their right to earn money
