today I personally wheeled a patient from my clinic to the ED for expedited work up, albeit a soft call… pts labs just resulted and I’m so glad I didn’t get those critical results after hours 👀

I just left an 14 hour shift and didn’t pee once

life of a resident: I just aame say shipped myself underwear and socks bc I’m on a 14 day stretch and not doing laundry

the highlight of my week was driving the floor zamboni at work me🤝 the hospital custodian

me to my PCP tomorrow at my annual wellness… So I ran 100km this weekend, but started throwing up black tarry blood with melena but it stopped after 12 hours so I didn’t go to the hospital to get scoped. Also I need an XR on my foot bc I think I have a stress fracture

I lost my expensive stethoscope and using a $30 replacement… sensitivity is low but high specificity if I actually hear something 👌🏼

just went grocery shopping for the first time since July. Thank you hospital dining lounge for supplying every meal for months

In the last 6 weeks: my immediate family has collectively had an MI, a stroke, neuro surgery and new seizure. Something is in the air!!

I went to the call room at 11:30 PM and was woken up at 7:30 AM by the intern after signout to let me know the shift was over lol

an intern looked at my car key and asked me if I was missing one that looked exactly like it… turns out it’s been in the intern call room since April :):)

I shaved 3 and a half minutes off my mile time in 6 weeks… turns out all you have to do it fix your hgb of 7

I was at a party where I was so overstimulated that I found a random guy, quickly targeted his special interest and got to stand there for 30 mins with occasional head nodding and words of encouragement for him to continue

This has been controversial but I am unreachable if off shift and not on call. I am passionate about leaving work at work. There are exceptions to every rule but set your boundaries people!!!
