@DonjonRelic @davidmt sometimes the beauty of the internet is finding another human that had the same weird brain malfunction as you, and be able to acknowledge it. Thanks, internet stranger. That game _would_ be dope.

Rygar
A scrolling platform game where the player assumes the role as the "Legendary Warrior". The main feature of gameplay is using a weapon called the "Diskarmor" (which is super satisfying to use 😜)
A great arcade game from Tecmo, released in 1986.

@LordFrivolous Yeah, I want to give today/tomorrow to say good bye to a few people who might not be on this very moment, but I cut out following 400 people a month ago and felt a lot better. The last 150 are mostly "Hourly Fox" or "Weird Medieval guys" and only a few 'people'.
English

@DonjonRelic It's sad, but I do know where you're coming from and sympathize. I haven't made a decision for myself yet, but find I rarely post now and expect this to become an unpleasant place to visit quite soon.
English

@TheSpoonyOne I really want to return to a 'standard' and not a 'platform'. example: RSS not Reddit.
English

@TheSpoonyOne I'm with you on this. The time between "It won't crash" and "Where'd it go?" will seem like the blink of an eye.
English

@SameOldCallum The problem for indies is your market is spread over more people, often looking for a niche. You'll never hit 3.4 million (you might, but probably not). But there are probably 3.4 million sales in the niche of indie you're looking at. [2/2]
English

@SameOldCallum Well, yeah. If you're talking coverage. Part of the budget for a AAA game is paying for that. Often a large part. It's why Tomb Raider sells 3.4 million copies and is a "failure". But that doesn't mean people don't care [1/2]
English

@DonjonRelic So tel the truth…did you make a little girlish squeal when Matt Barton tweeted a link to one of your shows?

@mattbarton @MarkLemmert I did. I like that one. It feels pretty slick.
English

@MarkLemmert @DonjonRelic Only if you’re the fourth wheel. Did you like that hatari emulator? I don’t think I’ve used that one before.

Looks like my friends already did a video about it. Let's Talk About Sundog: Frozen Legacy youtu.be/MS3FdBcIcKk via @YouTube

@mattbarton @TrentOster Starflight is amazing. I feel like it and Sundog are different enough that the connection between them is that they're space games.... but so are a lot of games.
English

@TrentOster Did you play Starflight as well? I'm curious how similar they are, which came first, common ancestors etc. IIRC there were games like Empire and Universe out before.
English

I've been doing more research for a review of this classic (that apparently Todd Howard loves). Curiously, it has an Atari ST port but not Amiga. IIRC, FTL was more into Atari ST, but they did port Dungeon Master Hm. mobygames.com/game/sundog-fr…

@Octav1usKing Be well. Looking forward to what you do if it makes you happy being you.
