Spoke with a LIV Golf player who said his understanding of what Scott O’Neil said Wednesday to team GM’s was that nothing has changed for them. And that means that funding, to the understanding of this player, is still good through 2032. And that’s how he looks at the situation right now.

PIFs recent changes have nothing to do with that war. They are simply managing their investment fund. Feel free to look into what they’re actually doing😂 That being said, we have heard zero about anything changing with Liv from any actual source including PIF/LIV. Let’s not forget this all started with a rumor. I’ll give it to them, they timed the rumor and media frenzy perfectly!

It no mistake with the timing of the LIV is dead rumours dropping late Tuesday night. Everything systematically coming from unnamed sources. Reasons for this time is as follows. 1) LIV is off to its best start ever with massive events in 🇦🇺 & 🇿🇦 have shown this is real and continues to show massive growth. Add in the AK win being the biggest story in golf’s Q1 and one of the best stories in years. 2) LIV’s about to tee off for the 1st time this season in North America time zones…Mexico will be broadcasting in favourable time slots for NA fans and directly competing with the PGAT for the first time this season. 3) LIV is well on their way to selling major stakes in the franchise with would further cement them as a competitor of PGATE. Creating rumours in an attempt to scare away potential investors is a good thing for PGATE. 4) With PGAT facing potential mass layoffs and reduced prize money, they really needed a story to deflect attention. Anyone with their eyes open can see, of all the years LIV has been alive, this is not the year they would die as they have never been better. The crowds have been massive, sponsorship has skyrocketed to nearly $500m and young talent are see it as their 1st choice. #LongLIVGolf

@gfienberg17 you thought it was over, it’s not. it’s a startup league, investors jumping in and out in the early stages is not abnormal. there will likely be multiple iterations of LIV over the next decade until it finds its footing.

No matter the outcome of LIV Golf's future, it's clear how poorly run the league still is and why it continues to struggle to gain real traction in the US tv market. There's so many rumors now that it's difficult to believe any of them. But here's one thing I know.
