@CloudlessStudio Pivoting to freelance has worked better for me. My previous game had 10k+ wishlists on steam and made the front page, but barely sold any copies. I've found it's much more profitable to sell shovels (make other people's games for them) than to dig your own hole looking for gold

Is gamedev still even viable? The games made by talented devs that I follow for years crack maybe 100-300 reviews, and stuff that blows up literally comes out of nowhere. I feel like it’s genuinely just luck.

@EMGameDev @2Pcom @GamerskyGames Just wanted to say I did enjoy the demo overall. The issues I pointed out aren't game breaking and the game does capture some of the feel of titles it's inspired by. I'd definitely try the full game
