@Danger2Carlos @DariusJButler @PatMcAfeeShow No argument there. I was honestly more upset about Bain than Downs. But I love Proctor’s potential and the young OL being built. Douglas is only pick I don’t like and he’s 6’4 and ran 4.39 so he could hit too 🤷♂️.

@ERavely @DariusJButler @PatMcAfeeShow I would have loved Downs but I feel with our current roster it would have been more of a luxury pick, need to build it up from the trenches out. Next season we will have a lot of money to spend and a high pick to get our Safety of the future unless we find someone in this draft

@PatMcAfeeShow @DariusJButler Dolphins have a very ugly salary cap situation to dig out of but hitting on a lot of their draft picks will go a long way to making a quick recovery and getting back into playoff contention in 2027/2028.

@ConnorJRogers Great recap of Miami draft. Would’ve taken a couple different guys in spots but the team building vision is clear. And they upgraded the defense exponentially IMO.

@LanceZierlein I assume what made it more difficult as well was that teams weren’t dealing 2027 picks so you couldn’t move out on Day 3.

An addendum....
About an hour after I sent this, I found out one team had a grand total of 34 total 1st & 2nd round grades in this draft. 64 draft picks over the first two rounds and this team had just 34 grades that fit inside those rounds. That speaks to this draft specifically

I've seen a lot of talk about consensus boards in the draft this year. I can tell you that I had multiple conversations after day two and then again after the draft was over with teams who thought it was the Wild West this year. I think one of the things happening is that there are players going back to college now because of the money available that would have gone second through fourth round. With all of those players now out of the draft pool, there is extreme variance that is developing. I would expect this to continue on to some degree, but this was also a really funky draft in terms of the board available to teams.

Don't want to continue the pile on of the Caleb Douglas as I have a lot more to watch before being able to write on him, BUT -
His catch radius considering his size looks poor. He catches most balls w/o any arm extension, even deep & contested balls
I just don't get it. Trying.
