Thanks to @TaylorJadin we got a Mastodon up and running, and Jesus H. Christ was it brutal. Definitely not a one-click installer on horizon unless there's a stable, solid Docker image floating around. More tomorrow, but what cost freedom? Sysadmin sanity...that's the cost-dammit!

@derekbruff @jimgroom @ReclaimHosting I’d stick to their official documentation, particularly to make sure you can do smooth upgrades and the like down the road: docs.joinmastodon.org/admin/prerequi… You’d start by deploying a Ubuntu 20.04 VPS, on reclaim.cloud or whatever cloud you like

@ReclaimHosting PublishPress Capabilities. For when the default WordPress roles just aren't cutting it. Like when you want to made the "editor" a meaningful role on your DoOO Portal while not bricking the entire system. 😎

Found my laptops from 2001 through 2005. The Sony Viao ran XP, I bought off a colleague while working at Univision. The iBook G4 was my return to Mac, I got it in 2004 when I started as an Instructional Technology Fellow at CUNY

#wemake19 Yes that is what I am getting at...I am not sure we can make without tinkering around. I don't think most people get it right the first time...sometimes we have to find workarounds. Do you think? Not saying I am right just an idea :-)
