In the UK, members of protected minority groups can carry a literal sword, while ordinary British citizens can go to prison for carrying a Swiss Army knife. I understand there shouldn't be an 'Us and Them' in our society, but politicians have turned it into 'Us vs Them'.

The Trump administration is attacking our democracy. Not in secret, but openly on social media. Starmer needs to show some backbone and call this out today. We canโt turn a blind eye to this blatant interference any longer.

The officer, you assure us, was merely โreacting to being told by two people that Henry had been racistโ rather than exhibiting prejudice. How very convenient. Yet the body-worn camera footage tells a rather different tale: an 18-year-old lad, stabbed five times, lying on the ground, repeatedly gasping โIโve been stabbedโ and โI canโt breathe,โ is met with the immortal line โI donโt think you have, mate,โ before being handcuffed and read his rights as he expires. His killer, who had fabricated the racism claim and carried a 21-centimetre dagger as part of his โfaith,โ was extended no such vigorous restraint. The evidence is not in dispute. Hampshire Policeโs own Chief Constable has apologised for the โdistressingโ footage. The perpetrator, Vickrum Digwa, was convicted of murder and sentenced to life with a minimum of 21 years after the court found his racism excuse to be a lie. Protests have erupted precisely because ordinary Britons recognise two-tier justice when they see it: the British student who is the victim is treated as the suspect; the man who wielded the blade is handled with kid gloves. If the ethnicities were reversed, the outcome would indeed have been different โ the white assailant would have been cuffed before the blood had dried, while the non-white victim would have been believed without question. That is not speculation; it is the observable pattern of our captured institutions. This is not โreacting to information.โ It is the predictable fruit of years of DEI indoctrination in our police forces, where โracismโ from the wrong demographic has been elevated above actual violence, above duty of care, above common humanity. The result is the anarcho-tyranny so eloquently diagnosed elsewhere: serious offenders walk with remarkable freedom while the law-abiding are disarmed, dismissed, or โ in Henry Nowakโs case โ literally handcuffed to death. A gentleman does not defend such a system. He demands its dismantling. Equal justice under law, without fear or favour, without ideological blinkers, is not a radical demand. It is the bare minimum of a civilised country. Anything less is a disgrace to the uniform and a betrayal of the people the police are sworn to protect.
