@bballdad44745 The real ones who were here after a 74 win season will still be here.
The others will be back for the playoffs.
English

@stickyjr54 @KeeganMatheson They literally went to the world series last year doing this exact thing.
English

@KeeganMatheson Until Schneider creates everyday stability in the lineup, offence like this will become the norm. Guys can't flip-flop in the lineup everyday. That doesn't let them get comfortable offensively.
English

John Schneider after the #BlueJays were swept by the White Sox in Chicago:
“We’ve got to get back to playing our baseball. It doesn’t matter who you’re playing, where you’re playing or what time you’re playing them, if you don’t play your baseball, good things don’t happen.”
English

@TalksToPeople Varsho gets a pass for these when we've been watching him save endless runs for multiple seasons.
you'd be hard pressed to find like 2 or 3 more of these from varsho in all his time playing for us.
English

At least Varsho's .450 OPS makes it easier to accept these kinds of mistakes
Talkin' Baseball@TalkinBaseball_
Oh NO Daulton Varsho
English

@Arbookla @KeeganMatheson No one said he has it. he clearly doesn't right now. you are moving the goalposts. I was responding to the numpties saying the Jays should just send him out of the org for no reason when he has options remaining.
English

@EricL77 @KeeganMatheson Why are you the gatekeeper on knowing ball, though? Jays tied the Yanks last year so every game matters. Losses in April hurt just as much as losses in September. People who know ball as you claim, also know when a player has it or doesn't have it. Your defense of Littlw is odd.
English

@EricL77 @JohnnyGiunta_ @JoshuaHowsam 28th out of 30 teams in runners left stranded. A lot of our big dogs have sub .200 averages. Ik it's only early but the offense deserves the criticism it's getting
English

@lucas88a88 @julio_guer48746 @KeeganMatheson I genuinely don't know which side of the conversation you are on. lol
English

@EricL77 @julio_guer48746 @KeeganMatheson I’ve been watching the Jays my entire life and this is insane what they’re doing with this guy
English

@Arbookla @KeeganMatheson people who know ball know that it's a long season and things change and there are many ups and downs.
if you think it's time to release a guy because of games, especially a guy who has had the success of Little, you don't know ball.
English

@BlakeMurphyODC I assume it's Mantiply and Voth because they are DFA fodder.
Voth probably next week for Corbin.
English

@julio_guer48746 @lucas88a88 @KeeganMatheson You guys all sound like people who started watching the Bluejays 6 months ago.
He was one of the best relievers in baseball for like 3 months at the start of last season.
The Jays aren't giving up on him when he has options remaining.
English

@lucas88a88 @KeeganMatheson Nah he right he should have never gotten to the big leagues and give me a break about him doing good in sprint training lol
English

@NothinToSeeHere @KeeganMatheson I would be shocked if he doesn't pitch for the Jays again before the end of May.
Mantiply and Voth will both be DFA in short order. One of them (I'm guessing Voth) is probably this week for Corbin.
English

@KeeganMatheson Really Keegan? You’re in denial. This is Manoah level yips. His mojo gone.
I wish him well and good luck finding it. But I am doubtful he ever pitches for the jays again.
English

@gord_paul @Jason_IT_NBer @LloydOsten @SiddallJoe @Hebsyman I don't think you know how to count, so I'll help. 4 to 6 weeks for healing, and 2 to 3 for rehab. 6 weeks plus 3 weeks is how many? and how many weeks in a month? And that's IF he doesn't need surgery.
It's not alarmist, it's realist. and you're a dick
English

@EricL77 @Jason_IT_NBer @LloydOsten @SiddallJoe @Hebsyman Telling people it will be double or triple that is misinformed and "end of the world" bullshit.
English

Question for @SiddallJoe
Can a fracture of the left thumb heal significantly enough for Kirk to return in 10 days? If so, would he be able to frame pitches as effectively? Thanks.
English

@gord_paul @Jason_IT_NBer @LloydOsten @SiddallJoe @Hebsyman Who said the world is falling? It's realistic. Kirk will be out for a while.
English

@EricL77 @Jason_IT_NBer @LloydOsten @SiddallJoe @Hebsyman You're whining like the world is ending after 8 games and I started watching last fall? Haha. Cute.
English

@bballdad44745 @MurphyBruno Yeah what a dumb take. Slow bat?
He pulled 100mph today and pulled 99.6 for a homer a few games ago.
Avg bat speed =/= peak bat speed
Every player has a different approach
Also has made some spectacular plays on defense and has yet to mess one up.
English

@MurphyBruno 95% in Range/OAA and 90% in Fielding value… he’s not bad.
English

@gord_paul @Jason_IT_NBer @LloydOsten @SiddallJoe @Hebsyman You just outed yourself as someone who joined the bandwagon last year.
In most cases the ramp up alone in the minors is 2 or 3 weeks.
Even with no surgery, the timeline for just healing is 4 to 6 weeks, then rehab time.
If surgery, we will see him in July at best.
English

@EricL77 @Jason_IT_NBer @LloydOsten @SiddallJoe @Hebsyman 2 to 3 months and the All Star break are absolutely ridiculous takes. Especially when you have zero idea how bad of a fracture it is. Now, if Valenzuela kicks ass they don't have to rush Kirk maybe MAYBE it goes 2 months. That's as alarmist and fearful as I can realistically get.
English

@gord_paul @Jason_IT_NBer @LloydOsten @SiddallJoe @Hebsyman Baseball players don't go straight from recovery to MLB games.
English

@Jason_IT_NBer @EricL77 @LloydOsten @SiddallJoe @Hebsyman Wow let's all breathe a little here... Most fractures are 6 weeks, tops. They went on about what a steal the Valenzuela trade was. Let's see him get the pitching staff through the next while.
