@AskNationwide Yes Marcus I know that this sometimes happens. It happens more often than not. The problem is that I don't like having to skip meals because google wallet is unusable.
@Extinction65mya Hi, thanks for tweeting. Occasionally you will be required to make a purchase with chip and PIN to continue using contactless, sometime contactless will be declined to request this. If you contact us securely we can check on why this was declined. spr.ly/6018uKQS8
Marcus
Love having to skip meals because @AskNationwide contactless only works like 60% of the time. It's totally not super embarrassing to have to reshelve my lunch with plummeting blood sugar. The future is great.
My sis was denied TWICE from the heart transplant list due to “noncompliance.” A 27 yr old BW w/2 kids.
The noncompliance? Not always liking hospital food, missing meds b/c NURSES didn’t wake her up, & panic attacks seen as “aggressive.” She died 2 months after the last denial.
@Extinction65mya@DrFrancesRyan In the 70's, Grammar schools were prevalent in areas that would now be classed as Area 1 poverty.
The South Wales Valleys being a classic example
They were closed in the persuit of political ideology,
The current Grammar school system bears no resemblance .
Regular reminder that no “ordinary family” can “scrimp and save” to afford most private schools. You can’t find £10k a term behind the sofa or by cutting back on branded tins at the weekly shop. Private schools are closed to most families. And that’s exactly the point of them.
@JennaMoquin@KatyMontgomerie I reckon you could apply that same argument to King though. I mean - the Shining, IT, Shawshank Redemption?
If we're restricting ourselves to living authors and ruling out Dickens and Doyle, then maybe James Patterson?
@KatyMontgomerie I actually think Stephen King holds that title of most famous author on earth. Harry Potter is world famous, his creator not as much. I’ve met plenty of people who refer to Harry Potter as a movie, not a book.
@mandelslime@DrFrancesRyan No, you are (presumably) a human with opinions that I'm interested in learning about. "What is Lord Mendelslime's opinion on grammar schools?" isn't a useful google term.
@DrFrancesRyan Why did the extreme far left get rid of Grammar school?
Because they didn't like the idea of the "working class" getting a good education and going to University.
