@conormeany @PaddySullivan5 Not enough really strong teams, most results predictable enough, standard across mens league in particular not as high as previous years. Lack of promotion a huge issue. Very few standout individual players to tempt neutrals in. No great rivalries between teams

I also write briefly about how underwhelming the cup weekend was this year compared to others and just how impressive it is that Killester are in both the men’s and women’s final, no other club could come close to that achievement currently.

Brilliant by Ballincollig as they cap off a great week by beating Tralee 83-80. Tralee’s second loss in a row and first loss with their full team.

Maree in the cup or maree in the league?

@conormeany Nuts if that’s the formal procedure, if the much loved opposition lose fixture and maree are subsequently kicked out of competition what happens? League is a different animal as points can be deducted cup is do or die. Why the drama every year 🤷‍♂️

As most people figured, some of the sanctions are under appeal and that is why the cup tie will go ahead pending that appeal.

@conormeany Mid week games will be tough too as it’s a school night and kids will have their own sports/ activities

@FanTralee Definitely think the bank holiday hurt attendances. We definitely had our lowest on Saturday in UCD. There’s definitely a case for families not going to as many games if they are all bunched together.
