@conormeany @ciaransully This club built from grass roots up and developed their Irish players to play properly. Great job and well deserved for them all.

Ballincollig deserving double winners. A great example of what good coaching, great recruiting and the value of a solid supporting cast of Irish contributors can bring. Ciaran deserves huge credit for conducting it all, and Adrian was the xfactor and deserving MVP.

Helena Keane and Ais Moran combining for 19 was massive. Brilliant for two great young talents.

Amazing for @meteorsbb to win their first super league title since the glory years of the late 80s and early 90s. So fitting on a weekend the club celebrate 60 years, and after a horrible week of heartbreak after the death of Eamonn Prenter.

Ahead of today's Domino's Women's Super League Final, a moments silence will take place in memory of Eamon Prenter, following his untimely passing last week. Eamon is the father of Irish international Grace Prenter and a proud member of Meteors Basketball Club. Everyone at Basketball Ireland extends their deep condolences to Eamon's family, friends and all those who knew him. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Congratulations to Limerick Celtics and Limerick Sport Eagles on both getting promoted to the Super League. Nice to see Eagles back after a long time out, while Celtics are the only real threat to Killester as the top dual club men’s and women’s. Brilliant achievement.

@conormeany Had Sean not gotten injured he would have been there again this year, he was averaging 20 ppg when he got hurt. Should be mentioned at end of year for the season he was having before injury. Played more games than some players who were.

Ahead of the final this weekend, we’ve had a full year of two Irish on the floor at all times. Some stats to think about: Teams PPG avg 22-23 80.4 (1 American) 23-24 84.2 (2 USA) 24-25 88.2 (2 USA) 25-26 86.7 (2 USA + 2 Irish on floor)

@Igorpe11 I agree with you completely. We don’t have that culture yet. Both on and off the floor we need to raise the standards of what being an elite player is.

@conormeany Training is a key for developing players and until people in the cubs and especially young players need to change that culture nothing will change
