@d1vinedarling Those sentiments usually come from people who are from impoverished upbringings that had to make do. Look at the actual tweets, they sometimes write personal stories how they got by and it's usually a combination of emulation, piracy, and setting expectations. Not all, but enough

I think we can question if someone have truly experienced a video game if they only watched playthroughs but idk why people are so allergic to accepting that inaccessibility is a genuine obstacle that some people can't overcome

@d1vinedarling You have to understand it's a values mismatch. Some watchers can actually utilize what they have to play, but refuse to, or refuse to acknowledge games outside of AAA FOMO exist then put more value in the fandom than the medium itself. It ruffles a few feathers of actual players.

@FarmAnimal8 I do agree with this. I will always push for people to just play the game (through piracy etc.) And I think you need to play the game to actually experience it

@MudkipNerd_ Not everyone has access to the devices needed to play the games or the funds to buy them in the first place. The majority of popular, well-made games these days are PC only, something not everyone has believe it or not.
