Hezbollah has killed more Shia Lebanese citizens than it ever did Israelis: in the War of the Brothers against Amal alone (1988-1990), about 2,500 Shia civilians & fighters were killed. Given that no data is available, let's assume Hezb killed half: 1,250.
On top of this, Hezbollah has assassinated dozens of Lebanese citizens, including Shia intellectuals and politicians such as Luqman Slim, Mahdi 'Amel, Husayn Muruwwa, and killed several dozens more Lebanese citizens during the May 7, 2008 coup it staged.
During the 1985-2000 occupation of south Lebanon, various factions killed 414 Israeli soldiers. Let's assume Hezb killed all of them, since there is no breakup. In the 2006 war, Hezb killed 165 Israelis. In the 2024 war, Hezb killed 72 Israelis and Druze residents living in Majdal Shams. In the current war, Hezb has killed 12 Israelis. That's 663 Israelis and residents in total.
Hezbollah has vowed to liberate Palestine and developed a plan to "liberate the Galilee", yet has seized 0 inches of Israeli territory. However, huge swaths of Lebanese territory are essentially Hezbollah ex-territories, where it enforces the law. State institutions are heavily penetrated by the militia, allowing, for example, the issuing Lebanese passports to IRGC personnel.
Israel is too strong compared to Hezbollah for the militia to be able to significantly harm it or deter it, but it has been able to murder, repress and terrorize Lebanese since its establishment with a record of deadly "success."
