"Kano! I didn't come to campaign. I just want to dance." You didn't have a problem with it. In fact, you voted the man. But you have standards for how Peter Obi's interview responses should be. I know what you are.

@iamdayoamusa Please ask Tinubu. Have you asked him? Yet you're willing to vote a total failure in again. Please ask Tinubu who didn't answer any in 2022. You people with your dishonesty will never cease to amaze

A leader should be an able to answer how and what they can do differently.. No sir, you can’t criticize all government policies and not give solutions to them.. It’s very obvious you don’t want people to vote you that is why you want to keep your plans to your chest, it’s not a secret affair, we want to know what you’re going to do differently.. I watched the podcast with Rufai, it wasn’t inspiring!

Nigeria has a severe deficit of sound leaders. To think this is what many consider the people's best "hope" for a leader is sad. A hopeful people, desperately in search for a “messiah” have confused “innocence” for capacity. I said it before, I’d say it again. 1. People who supported Tinubu in 2023 did so out of sycophancy. 2. Tinubu has been a failure as President. 3. Peter Obi would be a greater failure than Tinubu is. And before y’all come with the typical "Ehn go and support Tinubu"/corn-in-your-pocket lines, remember you all loudly argued that Atiku would be a worse President than Tinubu. You weren’t Tinubu supporters then for stating that obvious fact, so don’t start moving mad now that the exact same objective truth applies to your own guy.

I will not tell Nigerians how I will generate 10,000MW of electricity. It’s not for them to know. They just have to believe me and vote for me — Peter Obi The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has insisted that Nigerians do not need to know how he plans to deliver 10,000 megawatts of electricity if elected president, saying they only need to trust him based on his track record. Speaking during an interview with media personality Rufai Oseni, Obi was pressed to explain his promise to increase Nigeria’s power generation capacity to at least 10,000MW within four years. When asked to provide a detailed roadmap, Obi declined, arguing that political leaders are often judged by their credibility rather than by publicly disclosing every aspect of their plans. “No, no, no, I’m not going to tell you how. It is not for you to know how. It is for you to look at the man who is saying this,” Obi said. The former Anambra governor maintained that he had a history of fulfilling promises while in office and reiterated his commitment to improving Nigeria’s electricity supply. “I have said, and I repeat, that in four years we will generate, transmit, and distribute at least 10,000 megawatts of electricity,” he stated. As Rufai Oseni, the host, continued to demand specifics, Obi stood his ground, insisting that voters should focus on whether they trust him to deliver. “They don’t need to know. They need to believe in me,” he said. Obi also criticized successive governments over Nigeria’s power sector, claiming that no new government-owned power plant had been commissioned since 2015.  He contrasted Nigeria’s performance with countries such as Indonesia, India and Egypt, which he said significantly expanded their electricity generation capacity over the same period. According to Obi, achieving higher power output is “not rocket science,” adding that he has studied successful models in other countries and understands what is required to replicate such progress in Nigeria. “My commitment is that I will deliver it. I have my name on it,” he said.

Yesterday, I joined my brother, the Governor of Ebonyi State — His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru — alongside other progressives in Abakaliki to stand with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The time has come for us to unite. Enough of the politics of lamentations. Ndi Igbo, we must move from the alliance of protest to the alliance for progress — an alliance for prosperity. We must unite. We must not waste our votes again. Progressives are working together for a renewed and prosperous Nigeria.

I was told to clerk a patient today and I got to social history, I asked her whether she smokes or drinks but tell me why this woman replied with “I am a mother, does your own mother smoke?” I felt bad and was so clueless on what to do at that point but I just had to proceed.

Dear @illBlissGoretti I apologize for the delay in commenting, I was busy forwarding it to the right people and waiting for their responses. All the chiefs, Baales, kings, princes, princesses, and indigenes of Lagos have heard your message of peace loud and clear, they will now effect a dangerous change, one that will soon render people like you voiceless. They also asked me to convey their thanks and to assure you that they will do the needful. Furthermore, they said I should remind you that Igbos do not own even 10% of Lagos land. Most of the lands you think you owned are leased. Some for 50 years and some for 99 years. In addition, they send Aroko to you, I need your address for a proper delivery.

You are all giving example of her having a Yoruba mother, meanwhile there are hundreds of Ibos with no marriage link to the Yoruba adding a Yoruba name to their names to gain admission into State Universities in the Southwest. The same you that is justifying this as an Ibo would not give an Ebonyi person admission into your State Universities in Anambra, talkless of a Yoruba man who has a parent who have lived all their lives in the Southeast whether he add Ibo name or not. You are talking about bigotry 😂 but you would not accord the same respect a Yoruba man gives you in Southwest to him in Southeast. The reason you are adding Yoruba names to your name without having any affiliations to the Yoruba is because you want to benefit from the Yoruba resources and you know not changing your name to Yoruba would not make it possible. lol... you want to preach one Nigeria to the Yorubas who has accommodated your tribalistic ass3s in their region while you are being conservative about your own resources in the East? How many Yorubas are being given admission in the Southeast compared to the Southwest? We have housed your stvpid ass3s and get bashed and insvlted for it. She might have a Yoruba mother and she is one of us but she is a drop of water in the ocean to those with no Yoruba link bearing Yoruba names.
𝗔𝗱𝗲́𝘀𝗶́𝗻𝗮̀ 🇳🇬@OryHarde

Attention: There hundreds of Ibos adding Yoruba names to their names to get admission, jobs and different opportunities meant for the Yoruba and lots of political appointees are looking away from this crime. This one is probably from Enugu. Azikwe also did the same thing. He gave all his children Yoruba names. I think that is the highest form of low self esteem.

How convenient. You don't see an Igbo man exercising his right as anything, he must be disgraced as a second-class citizen that he is for refusing to be VP. Meanwhile Seyi and Donald Duke running are both absolutely fine. We see you guys.

I am officially withdrawing my support for H.E. Atiku Abubakar and ADC over the decision to pick H.E. Rotimi Amaechi as the running mate of the party. I cannot be in a party that preaches inclusiveness but marginalizes, dislikes my region, the South-East.

Tinubu wants to deregister the major opposition so he can face Obi and NDC squarely and beat him silly in the North. Sadly, that will not be possible for them. To Tinubu, Obi is not a threat. The reason he is working extra hard to take Atiku off the ballot. Lesson in there.

Peter Obi@PeterObi

Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths, After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cup—at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absent—I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth. You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead. It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire. In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18—enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future. I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender. You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership. If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation. Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future. I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country. My young friends, this is your country. Take it back. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

The reason I say Obi will win is not because I think he will "politically" win. It's because I think Tinubu has decided this. Think about it - INEC suddenly registers a new party after blocking more than 100 parties for years. A mainstream politician takes charge, things are done very well (no odd court cases, no challenges). Obi switches, brings a powerful northern politician who had refused in the past to work with him. The Americans are rumbling in the background, saying stuff we don't know. They have their own interest. Tinubu makes a few quotes about "some people do not want me to run". Who are those people? State police project gets fast-tracked, giving south-west more independence. The more radical elements of the Obidient movement are purged out of the system, making the alignment more mainstream. Even the statements by Obi in recent times do not directly blame Tinubu for anything. And honestly, the Tinubu campaign has been very lackluster up until now, almost like their hearts are not in it, It may be a strategic play now to allow him do a single term - it would make sense. All speculation!
Mark Essien@markessien

I'm willing to bet N1m with anyone that Peter Obi will be the next president.
