@jwordfish The 4K disc in there appears to be the same one that’s in the standard edition, just with an extra disc of bonus features

@dave_kehr @NonFilms @MoMAFilm What Technicolor process was this? It doesn’t look like the 3 strip palette, but it also doesn’t have that slightly odd greenish look I’ve seen with 2 strip

@matthiasellis It is bad form, for good reason, to accuse someone of adopting a non-normative gender for career boost, but I’ve definitely met a couple in academia that raised my eyebrows

@MotionPlanet That last chunk of the movie with him is one (incredible) extended scene, just the conversation with him and Garfield

@GentleDoofus He’s in more than two scenes. He’s basically the major supporting character in the final 20-25 mins.

@amazing_garrett That one’s definitely hits hard, but NEMO gets special points for being entirely about dad anxieties

Rewatching FINDING NEMO with the baby. This movie hits way different when you are an anxious guy with a young child.

This movie has got such a deep voice cast. I knew the dentist’s office tank had Willem Dafoe, Allison Janney, Brad Garrett and Stephen Root, but I didn’t even know until this watch that it also had NEWSRADIO’s Vicki Lewis and Bogdanovich mainstay Austin Pendleton.

@BCWallin @cacmrg He is incredible in the film, don’t get me wrong, and he’s of course the plot instigator, but he’s in, what, two scenes? (Should have gotten a supporting actor nod)

@GentleDoofus @cacmrg Nah, he’s there the whole time even if he’s not onscreen. Like Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs

@GentleDoofus @JeremyMonjo Is well-considered curation not an art in and of itself? The answer may be no. But, hey, it’ll pass the time.
