In Mexico, every medical resident must complete a research thesis to become a certified specialist. While the intention is to promote scientific training, the reality is that many residents are already overwhelmed with clinical duties.

Once residency/fellowship applicants can safely acknowledge their lack of interest in conducting research without torching their job prospects, then we will have entered a new utopia with the perfect balance of physicians, scientists, and physician-scientists. It will be beautiful.

➡️Finally, we found that the short isoform TSC22D3 (GILZ) disrupts WNK–TSC22D2–SPAK condensates, inhibiting SPAK phosphorylation.🚫⛔️ This effect is blocked by CRY2-induced oligomerization of TSC22D2, showing a regulatory balance between isoforms.⚖️✅
