Today at the Sydney Opera House. Recently marking its 50th anniversary, this iconic landmark continues to be a key pillar of Australian culture and the global arts scene, fostering connection and creativity.

A unique piece by Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto, Just like drops in time, nothing (2002), one we could indeed smell before we could see. This immersive work uses spice-filled fabric to engage all senses, inviting us to truly experience the art. Exhibited with support from Clayton Utz.

As part of our afternoon, we visited the Sydney Modern Project at the Art Gallery of NSW, where we explored powerful Aboriginal art collections. This experience reminded us of the depth of First Nations culture and how Indigenous art connects us to critical stories and perspectives.

Today, it was an honour to sit with Dr. Terri Janke, a leading advocate and international authority on Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property rights. Listening to Dr. Janke’s insights highlighted why understanding and honouring First Nations perspectives is vital to fostering a sustainable, inclusive future.

Today at IKEA Australia, we explored the critical roles of social sustainability and climate resilience. We discussed the challenges and obstacles on the path to net zero and the importance of collaboration with Governments and other stakeholders to make real progress. From renewable energy initiatives to circularity efforts, companies should lead by example, fostering inclusivity and supporting communities. #Sustainability #ClimateAction

Collaboration across sectors is essential. Together with businesses, Governments and local communities, we can drive real change and achieve impactful climate solutions. I’m excited to continue our work with IKEA Australia, supporting each other's goals for a sustainable future. It's inspiring to see how companies can bridge gaps with the communities they serve and I look forward to our Australian team continuing the connection with IKEA Australia and partnering to support each other’s sustainability ambitions.
