@R_M_Swan @MarchingWith7 Yeah…you can’t really find it and this dude had like 3 cows that he was pretty anal about keeping clean and doing all of the right stuff. Small farm, organic, free range pasteurized is still pretty great.

@UncleRedLeg @MarchingWith7 As does salmonella and explosive diarrhea, so I still wouldn’t risk it. There’s a reason the average life expectancy has risen exponentially since the 19th C., and it’s not because people suddenly began drinking more raw milk.

@rArmyReddit That is the major complaint for sure. Whataburger has a good version too with less chucks but I can’t get those here.

@UncleRedLeg I tried it once. But peach pieces kept getting stuck inside the straw blocking it up. It made it a delicious but highly frustrating milkshake.

On a bright note…Chic-fil-A peach milkshakes are back!

@tjm585 Now we’re getting somewhere. Who gets to decide? Is it the officer’s personal responsibility? There is a BIG difference in an order that is immoral, unethical or illegal and one I just don’t like.

@benduchek @realdesertmouse @mandhistorian To be fair, it was my responsibility as an FA BN CDR to do collateral damage assessments and I owned the risk of being wrong if I killed innocent people. But I know what you’re saying. Thats why officer and enlisted oaths are different and we reaffirm them at every promotion.

@realdesertmouse @mandhistorian @UncleRedLeg It wasn't a valid fight. The Army doesn't ask its artillery battalion commanders to get involved in medical requirements set down by higher. They ask them to be able to provide timely and effective fires. His mind was clearly somewhere else.

@AllThingsCivil My focus is on the oath to the Constitution. Specifically, “I take this obligation without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion.” When any officer can’t square the circle on that phrase, then what? I think it’s something folks need to talk about it.

@OldGnarlyGoat Also, by him going he encouraged others to go. They saw their older Chaplain go and it motivated them to try something they may not have without the extra push. We gained more Rangers by letting this one go for a couple months and they learned skills that will help their teams.

I don’t get this. Yes, it’s important for chaps to understand what the Soldiers do and go through. But at what cost? The BN lost their chaps for a few months. He can never engage in the cmbt skills learned, a spot was taken from someone who will, and how much did it cost?
