As you may have seen, last week I bought a Series 1 E-Type 4.2 FHC, and subsequently broke down in it on my way home. The car hadn't covered many miles in recent years (and turns out even less miles than I thought it had). We inspected it last week and here's something we found I hadn't given the car a serious look over at auction as I hadn't planned to bid on it. As the description mentioned it does look to have had a fair amount of work done, but any car that hasn't been used will have something perished somewhere. It's also fitted with a later 3.8 litre engine in place of the original 4.2. Looking forward to giving it a thorough service, a few jobs like this and getting it on the road, as it definitely needs using!
