Engineers at 1X have developed a 25-degree-of-freedom humanoid robot hand for advanced dexterous manipulation. It uses force sensors in every joint and fingertips to detect pressure, slipping, and automatically adjust its grip. Its lightweight, waterproof design allows the NEO humanoid robot to safely wash its hands after cooking or other messy tasks.

Earlier this year at CES 2026, Hyundai and Boston Dynamics unveiled the new production-ready Atlas humanoid robot. The fully electric robot is designed to perform real-world tasks with advanced AI and human-like movement. Atlas is expected to play a key role in Hyundai's future manufacturing and automation.

Xiaomi has introduced the EV Home Charging Robotic Arm, an automated charging system for electric vehicles. It automatically plugs into and unplugs from your EV, so no manual charging is needed. The robotic arm can be installed on a wall or the floor of your home parking space for easy, hands-free charging.

Earlier this year, DEEP Robotics tested the Lynx M20 robot in the snowy region of Yakeshi, Hulunbuir, China. The robot operated in temperatures as low as -30°C while moving smoothly through deep snow. The test showed its potential for rescue, patrol, and exploration missions in harsh environments.

Austin-based robotics startup Apptronik has unveiled Apollo 2, the latest version of its humanoid robot. Apollo 2 comes in both bipedal and wheeled versions and performs real-world tasks while collecting training data. Apptronik is using this data with Google DeepMind to train Gemini Robotics AI models, making Apollo smarter and more capable.

Figure 03, powered by Helix AI, can now jog with a smooth, human-like running style at speeds of about 2 meters per second. Shared by Figure AI CEO Brett Adcock earlier this year, the robot learned to run through reinforcement learning instead of relying on pre-programmed movements. It continuously adjusts its balance and footsteps in real time, marking another step toward more natural humanoid locomotion.

Meet Aliptera, a concept aircraft that uses a unique Lip Wing design and a tilting ducted fan for VTOL flight. Researchers at the University of California San Diego have successfully used the Unitree G1 humanoid robot to perform the world's first teleoperated humanoid robotic surgeries. So I just spent the last 20 minutes reading about a robot I saw in an AI for Good Summit recap. And I have thoughts. It's called Q1 - from PrimeBot - and it's being called the world's first personal humanoid robot. It was in Geneva this week, surrounded by policy wonks and AI researchers. The reason I'm still thinking about it? Because it's not trying to be impressive. It's trying to be close. That's a weird sentence to write about a robot. But I think that's the point. We've spent the last decade making AI more powerful. Maybe the next decade is about making it more personal. I don't know if Q1 is the one that does it. But seeing it at Geneva feels like a signal. Something's shifting. Curious what everyone else thinks - is personal robotics finally having a moment?

Figure has deployed its new Figure 03 humanoid robot at BMW factories. Powered by its latest AI, the robot picks parts, organizes them, moves heavy carts, and delivers components to the production line.
