Teacher is strict Some children unhappy Parents get involved Start a complaints campaign More parents get involved School doesn’t trust teachers so teacher doesn’t get proper back up Teacher caves in Lessons aren’t as good School blames teachers teaching The end.

Just been messaged from a Scottish teacher who was attacked with a weapon in the classroom, and the student wasn’t suspended, and is still in the same school as the teacher, who now lives in fear of a second assault. Tell me again that the Scottish Ed system doesn’t need its approach to behaviour rebooted. No teacher should dread being assaulted as an expectation of the job. Schools need to support their staff. To do so, political leaders need to get serious about behaviour. Drop the obsession with no-exclusions. It’s ruining the education of countless thousands. Invest in alternative provision.
