We've been intrigued by the concept of a "bike bar" in the past, but like all things, the idea is not enough โ good design requires both form & function, and put in the right context.
This Portland bike bar may achieve neither.

I was curious abt "bike bar" at new Sideyard building on Couch/Burnside. It's a big metal thing w holes for wheels.. my bike doesn't even fit! I get value of aesthetic. But so many of these bldgs have bad bike parking. I'll take standard staples any day of the week. ๐ข
