Another extraordinary thing about Shirley Williams. As prisons minister, in 1966, she wanted to find out what life was really like for women inside: so she persuaded the authorities to lock her up in Holloway on a pretended prostitution charge. Who would do that now?

Today we said goodbye to our Governor Tony Corcoran, Retiring after over 35 years of service- including 8 as Governor of HMP Haverigg. His Leadership, Commitment and Drive have ensured Haverigg has a bright future and we will miss him terribly. Thank you Governor! #TeamHaverigg

Thank you for the 80+ staff who took part in our #TimeToTalk event yesterday. It was great to share some goodies with everyone who is working so hard and to remind people of the value of checking in with each other and the support services we have available.
