I visited the Human Needs Project in Kibera, where volunteers, innovators and locals are building sustainable 'town centres' in slums to help residents overcome poverty.
Happy 10th anniversary to the Human Needs Project @HNP_Org!💧🌍 Co-founder and actress Connie Nielsen and David Warner opened a community center in Nairobi, Kenya in 2014. She was inspired to create change, while she was filming “Lost in Africa.” Beyond basic services like clean water, the center creates opportunities and empowers people through music, art, education and entrepreneurship! Connie auctioned off a special trip to the Gladiator 2 Premiere in LA in November! Musician @futwax_daniel made the journey all the way from Kibera, Africa and entertained us all 🖤💚❤️
