Starmer told President Trump that Britain has had free speech “for a very long time and will have it for a very long time.” Yet the Home Office has blocked 4 speakers from entering the UK before they’d even spoken at any event, I presume on the basis they might cause disorder. But that’s pre-emption. Once you accept that the state can decide who is allowed to speak based on what might be said, you no longer have free speech as a principle… you have only selective permission to speak, if the government approves.

So, let’s get this straight. The government of the United Kingdom has banned at least four people expected or confirmed to speak at Tommy Robinson’s rally on May 16th from entering the country. @martinsharman43 @David90shaw Like having safe and legal routes, offshore processing, sufficiently resourced immigration services and courts, streamlined, clear criteria etc. All very boring and requiring grown up mature reflection. Much easier to call to ban or leave things and blame foreigners.

@martinsharman43 @David90shaw If you process the numbers, you will find the effect is minimal. ECHR is cited very rarely and mostly unsuccessfully, despite the rabid publicity. There are much more effective (but probably much less popular) measures we could take.

Things like immigration are not just a matter of policy wand waving. It’s driven by economics, markets and demographics

Every single person allowed in By Boris (over a million) was given a legal visa. Every wind and solar farm was built by our tax money as we voted for net zero (as in the majority). If they have a policy they implement it, whether or not like mass immigration it was not in the manifesto.

Why is it that Denmark can ignore the ECHR and deport ALL migrants with a conviction of a year or more WITHOUT APPEAL, yet the timid UK remains a frightened rabbit in the headlights of the wretched ECHR?🤔 Ignore it or scrap it!🤨

@DavidAHoward @DaveKent101 Sadly though, the issue is largely being driven by people with agendas, not solutions. Because it is emotive, they just want to twist the knife for electoral effect, not heal the wounds.

@DavidAHoward @DaveKent101 What is actually required is adult, responsible debate. Doctrinally willing to consider all aspects, including that we may have to accept equivalent or even higher immigration in the short or medium term, just organise it better.

English is an ethnicity. It is inherited through blood and ancestry, not granted by a passport, birthplace, or how much someone loves tea and the monarchy. You can be British by nationality, fully integrated, loyal and patriotic, yet still not ethnically English. That is not hate. That is biological and historical reality. Shabana Mahmood is not ethnically English. Neither is Nana Akua. Pretending otherwise by redefining "English" into a vague civic slogan is a deliberate attempt to erase the native English people from their own homeland. The English exist as a distinct ethnic group with deep roots in these islands, Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, Viking, Norman. We built this country from our own stock. Acknowledging that truth isn't extremism. Denying it to accommodate mass migration is. England belongs to the English first and foremost. Restore Britain gets this. Time the rest did too. England. True Grit. Restore. My England for the English.

Unpopular opinion but the right to vote shouldn’t be automatic. It should require passing a basic test on economics, finance, history, and how laws and public policy actually work… Pass it, you vote. Fail it, you don’t.
