Raider at Large - the SMS Wolf Part 12. Captain Nerger had now decided to return to Germany. He transferred 17 of the Wolf's prisoners from the top deck plus others from the hold (including the Camerons and their daughter from the sailing barque Beluga) to the Igotz Mendi, now commanded by Leutnant Karl Rose and a crew of 18 from the Wolf. Nerger had two serious concerns prompting this: - His crew were becoming mutinous and he had to use armed officers to suppress a refusal to work. - The Japanese cruiser Tsushima was closing in on them, and the Wolf was monitoring its ever stronger signals. The Igotz Mendi made it to Denmark but ignominiously ran aground. Despite the presence of U-boats, the Danish authorities freed all the passengers and interned Rose and his crew. Nerger, however, had navigated the Wolf through the British blockade and on the 14th of February 1918, the Wolf was sailing close to Norway's coastline. The Wolf then entered the Barents Sea on the 17th of February. As dusk descended, the Wolf was able to see the German coast and Nerger hoisted the Imperial Naval ensign. The Wolf was met by the patrol boat Panther (which had escorted her out of Germany over a year ago). The Panther took the Wolf to Aero Island to await further instructions. The Wolf's return was greeted by disbelief and then wild exultation by the German High Command who organised a celebratory return and victory parade in Kiel. Captain Nerger was awarded the highest honour - the Pour le Merite. The officers and crew were awarded First and Second Class Iron crosses. Nerger had achieved the near impossible - a safe return to Germany after a year plus at sea (444 days), equivalent to 3 circumnavigations of the world. He had brought back a hold full of much needed war supplies that he had seized from various ships. For anyone wanting to know more about this raiding cruise then a highly recommended piece of reading is The Wolf by Richard Guilliatt and Peter Hohnen. Incredible detail regarding the day to day lives of crew and prisoners aboard the SMS Wolf. @Sargon_of_Akkad @MOXYDON Carl Benjamin is just bitter because Tory stooge Rupert Lowe did not come up with this. He would have been praising the policy to the rafters if that had been the case.🤣

Terrible, vindictive, ideological politics. Not a responsible steward of the land, but instead a partisan attack on political opponents because a percentage of the constitutency voted the wrong way. Atrocious.
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage

If you vote Reform you will not have an illegal migrant deportation facility in your area. We will hold migrants awaiting deportation in constituencies that vote Green instead. You get what you vote for.

Dumb comment. Saying that saying that Yusuf is a bully when in fact the only bullies are the parties of mass migration. By saying that he is a bully, you are essentially saying that placing illegal migrants in areas is a bad thing when in fact the Greens want mass migration. You and the Left have boobed over this.🤣

@DaveKent101 Dumb comment. Yusuf has royally fucked up on this one: 1. Brits hate bullies. 2. This will mean masses of jobs and investment for Green areas. 3. Any local Reform voters can relax - as Yusuf said, no risk to public safety. Yusuf has boobed.

Watching the Leftist and Uniparty meltdown on here this morning regarding the new Reform policy of building migrant detention centres in Green voting areas is hilarious. Yet the people moaning are the same people who happily want them dispersed among the rest of us but scream blue murder at the prospect of them coming THEIR way. Just ask Rachel Millward, the Green Deputy Party leader who spoke out against illegals being housed in HER area.

🚨WOW: Reform just launched a website called: “VoteGreenGetillegals.com” They say, if you vote for The Green Party and your council is led by them they’ll place deportation centres there. This is actual policy. Gorton and Denton are first. What do you think about this?

@KEdge23 Kevin conveniently ignores that HIS party and Labour have already placed illegal migrants among us, punishing ALL of us. HIS party also flooded the country with 4 million migrants.🤦‍♂️ Says it all, the Tories are not a serious party. A party who betrayed the country.

Gorton and Denton voted Green. So Reform would punish every ‘Reform’ voter in that constituency, just because more voted Green. Says it all. Reform are not a serious party. If you want to stop the Greens, Labour and Reform, vote Conservative.

So this is where @reformparty_uk have ended up, headline-grabbing gimmicks instead of serious policy. @ZiaYusufUK is now openly suggesting that detention centres should be deliberately placed in areas that didn’t vote for them. That’s not governance, it’s petty political point-scoring dressed up as policy. Some people like @daveatherton think this is a good idea, really? Let’s be clear: this isn’t about solving immigration problems head on. It’s about punishing communities based on how they vote. That should concern everyone, regardless of political allegiance. Take places like Gorton and Denton. I spent time campaigning there for Nick Buckley. These are hardworking communities, decent people trying to get on with their lives. Reform polled around 10,000 votes there, and still lost by roughly 4,000. Gorton and Denton obviously didn't like what you had to offer, your party and your parachuted candidate were not good enough. Around 52% of people didn't vote so it's not as if you didn't have the people there to vote for you. And what’s their message to those voters now? “Thanks for backing us, but, because your area didn’t go our way, you’re first in line for the lowest in society to be dumped on your doorstep. That’s not respect for voters. That’s contempt. If anyone is still behind Reform right now, shame on you.

"It isn’t based. Greens could win a seat with as little as 20% of the vote at the next election and you’re going to punish the other 80% as a result." You omit to mention the part that they are already being placed amongst us, and that having this stopped if you vote Reform is a real incentive. Also the Left will riot against any government of the Right. So please stop boring us with stuff that we already know.

I’ve seen a number of midwit commentators say how based this is. It isn’t based. Greens could win a seat with as little as 20% of the vote at the next election and you’re going to punish the other 80% as a result. That isn’t how you treat your countrymen. I much prefer the policy of putting the migrants in tents on an offshore island where no Brit has to go near them. By the way this Reform policy won’t last the first set of riots it inevitably creates. It’s a total stunt and the worst kind of politics.

Where should illegal migrant detention centres should be located? Reform want to vindictively target Brits in potential Green constituencies to make a point and house illegals next to them - that is their choice. But I don't believe that we have time for this petty nonsense. A Restore Britain Government will not abandon residents of those constituencies who have a Green MP elected on 25% of the vote. That is not fair, and more importantly - it is not efficient. Restore Britain will focus on solving the problem, in the most ruthlessly efficient manner possible. Objective number one is quite clear - remove the illegal migrant population. That is not going to be completed through vengeful gimmicks. We won’t punish hardworking British men and women because their neighbours voted Green. We need a serious, systematic approach utilising the current state apparatus at first in order to rapidly scale our removal capabilities - our deportation paper goes into great detail about how to achieve this. This an incredibly complicated task. Removing two million plus illegal migrants will not be done overnight. It will not be done through deliberately choosing less efficient options to take revenge on constituencies who did not vote for us. We don’t have time for this petty nonsense. It is a mammoth challenge - it would be one of the biggest state policy implementations ever. We would construct detention facilities where they are most efficient, most secure, and most practical to operate - not based on shitty political point-scoring, but on what actually works and on what actually will remove these illegals on a timescale the British people expect. Because the aim is clear. To detain, process and remove those who have entered this country illegally, and to do so at scale. Millions will go. That requires infrastructure that is fit for purpose. Proper capacity. Proper security. Proper coordination with removals. Repurposed airports, ports, existing detention facilities - all of that can be deployed rapidly, wherever it is currently located. This takes proper thought, and proper planning. I am entirely uninterested in which constituency illegals are detained and removed. I don’t care about using taxpayer money to make political points that will inevitably slow down the removal process. I simply want them all deported in the most efficient timetable the British state can possibly achieve. Millions will go. That is what Restore Britain will do.
