@LieDetectorHawk @owensiebring Kylie was a defensive specialist. Without her, it would have been a long season. Hannah isn't a great offensive player. If she doesn't have an uncontested layup, she can't do much. Had she developed a mid range jumper, she could have been unstoppable.

In their combined tournament games, Iowa shot 25/45 on free throws. That’s 55%… well below their season average of 69%. The Hawkeyes shot 6/42 on 3-pointers. That’s 14%. Their season average was 36%. The Hawkeyes played some outstanding basketball all season long… but they simply did not look like themselves over these last 3 games of the season. But many of these sophomores will be defined by what happens next. Caitlin Clark lost in the second round during her sophomore season, and bounced back to lead her team to 2 straight NCAA championship games. Are any of these players as good as CC? Not by any stretch. Are the Hawkeyes about to go to two straight Final Fours? Unlikely. But there’s so much room for growth in these underclassmen; they’ve got a chance to make some deep runs and compete for Big Ten titles the next two years.

@ethanprice UCLA did it i think. I get it, we got spoiled with CC, but we don't have a playmaker. If we want to compete, we need athletic bigs and taller guards than 6'. Good news, we're young.

@BRSchuff Officiating was horrible in the first meeting....both sides. This game was much of the same. The one that I would have like to see called was the 3 point attempt foul on Koch with less than 2 to go. Could have been potentially a 2 point game had foul been called, but went to 9

Thinking about why Addie got All Big 10 freshman team and not Journey And I want to be really careful here because Addie absolutely deserved the honor as well I think it's just a function of coaches not paying that much attention to what Journey did towards the end, when she started really coming on, started for Hannah, etc Addie did win 2 FOTW awards back to back and generally was more visible (and I think more coaches probably game planned for her) So again Absolutely a well deserved award for Addie although I think we would all say she's less of a finished product than Journey But Journey absolutely should have been on that list as well
