Following #InternationalWomensDay yesterday, @JessicaToale, chair of the upcoming APHG Women’s Health event, reflects on the importance of delivering meaningful progress on women’s health.

Obesity is shaped by wider health, social and environmental factors. Addressing prevention and supporting healthier lives must remain a policy priority. The APHG will continue to highlight the importance of obesity prevention in health policy discussions.

Today is #WorldObesityDay. With 4 billion people projected to live with overweight or obesity by 2035, this year’s theme “8 Billion Reasons To Act” highlights the urgent need for prevention, action on childhood obesity and equitable access to care. worldobesityday.org
