👩🏻‍⚕️ Something you may have missed! This government introduced the Medical Training Prioritisation Bill - giving young people who have trained in the UK the first shot at jobs in the NHS.

👩🏻‍⚕️ Rosie Duffield MP & I, alongside 38 other MPs have written to the Health Secretary following the Meningitis B outbreak at Kent Un - urging the government to give students access to the Men B vaccine & improve awareness of the risks amongst students and their families.

This Labour Government is investing in the future of our young people.

Last week I spoke to BBC Radio Solent about the new police officers in Bournemouth Town Centre and the wider issues like empty shops, scruffy streets and antisocial behaviour that impact how we feel about the town. This is a snippet of the interview.

Announced today: £3k Youth Jobs Grant for employers who take on a young person unemployed for 6 months; £2k bonus for SMEs taking on a young apprentice; Extension of long term unemployed jobs guarantee to 22-24 yr olds. Giving hope and opportunity to young people 🌹

⬇️ Update on potholes in Bournemouth West

With people struggling to find a dentist, the Tories blocked 1000s of qualified dentists living here in the UK from getting accredited to practice. Thanks to my interventions we are clearing the backlog so 2,000 more dentists a year will deliver more NHS dentistry 👍

@Growlingadam I was talking to my colleague about this too. A pothole warning came up on our @waze app and we thought it would be great to be able to click a button to report it into the council rather than just indicate whether it was still there or not.

@JessicaToale Was discussing with a friend this morning biggest issue for motorists is how to report at the time they’re identified. Most will be driving somewhere and by the time they get somewhere, they would forget about reporting. Happy to provide more but I tend to forget to report too!
