@Henry___22 Please do your own research. But have you ever looked into penny stocks or $OTC Stocks, I got into it without knowing anything around January or so, and yes, while there have been a bunch of losers there, also a few huge wins..

@ClistonBrown So explain to me why the Dems never instituted the 'six years and you're out' rule for committee chairs that the GOP put in place back in the 1990s? Oh right, they Dems didn't because that would have upset the congressional black caucus.

The Democratic Party has ossified. By allowing people to stay in positions of power into their 80s and 90s, the party has not only failed to develop younger leaders, but it has ensured that young people have had nowhere else to go but the loony far left. This has been disastrous.
Amanda Litman@amandalitman

If Democratic House members allow this to happen, the likely effect will be a majority that will not do what theyโ€™ve been elected to do โ€” this is a generation of leaders who (by and large) are not willing to do things differently.

The bus people are rapidly running out of travel options. They are down to just Carnival Cruises and Frontier Airlines now. The discount airline had about 5% market share in 2025.

@indexnforgetit Been saying the same. This post WWII prosperity '46-'73, which is running on fumes now, is a complete anomaly! We are regressing to the mean in the USA, that is, prior to 1946 most people lived in poverty.

@DanRidesPA @WallStreetMav Bingo. The airline business cannot support 'discount' airlines. Too many high fixed costs. Even American Airlines is running negative. United has a barely positive net margin. And Delta is only doing well due to its credit card business.

Commercial aviation has a built in bottom line. The aircraft must fly safely and meet a myriad of requirements with crews who have to meet certain standards, flying to-from approved airports with certain facilities. The grift has been to establish a โ€œlow costโ€ airline, hemorrhage money, then demand government subsidies to provide continued service to underserved communities.

The big question is not Spirit Airlines shutting down. The concern we all have is ... which airline do their customers start flying on next.

@WallStreetMav Crime and maintenance needs dropped precipitously on BART after enforcing fare requirements. Airfare on Spirit was so cheap it was effectively free. Maybe the violence will be kept out of the sky simply by slightly higher costs.

Everyone worrying which airline โ€˜certain peopleโ€™ will be using as an alternative should have tried to help keep Spirit around. For all their problems, they did cater to a community of people most posters here want nothing to do with. But you youโ€™re about to deal with them โ€” A LOT.

'the inexpensive car is already dead in the U.S., as there are only four cars available in the U.S. for under $25,000 right now, and three of them will potentially be pulled from the market by year's end.' Tariffs play a role, and it's a bad one. jalopnik.com/2159694/americโ€ฆ

@Barrowwight @mattyglesias Some people see Clinton's policy achievements as detrimental to the populace at large: welfare reform, 1994 crime bill, QHWRA bill of 1998, financial modernization act of 1999. These bills have all been noted to have ripple effects we are still feeling.

The actual derangement is the people who donโ€™t realize Obama is broadly popular, well-liked, and remembered fondly and was extremely popular on the day he left office as well. Not a perfect president or a flawless administration but better than all the other ones.
