We live in uncertain yet incredible times. Since the "ChatGPT moment" two years ago, I've seen the writing on the wall as many of you have that AI will change humanity in a powerfully non-negotiable way. Our path forward isn't to resist this change—it's to harness these extraordinary advances to elevate human potential. Learning is the cornerstone business practice of all human development and advancement. To progress ourselves, we need to enhance and overhaul our learning system. The signal for this change has never been louder than it is today. In my work "Learn to Adapt" I outline how we can adapt the American education system to advance ourselves in this incoming decade of AI transformation. Read the full blueprint here -> tinyurl.com/LearntoAdapt I'm not just sharing this as food for thought—I'm directly inviting you to join a mission through the @AdaptEducation_ project. This rapid-development research project is funded through blockchain technology (Solana - $ADAPT). As we progress, every bit of funding drives research into methods, tools, curriculum development and more that will directly shape how AI transforms education. Promising experiments in AI-driven education are already happening today, and we need more of them to ensure scaled and operational success across the entire US. We must fail fast and push the edge of innovation to adapt our system quickly enough to avoid the potentially catastrophic side effects of this AI revolution. I'll continue to share my thoughts here on X about why and how we can adapt our learning system, exactly what this project will achieve, and more.

What is the business model where a landlord doubles the rent of a thriving business, forces them to close and then lets the space sit empty for 5 years?

What if you could search 50M satellite image embeddings with no server, no database, and no API? Part 2 of @calebrob6 and my series on Compressing Earth Embeddings is live at geospatialml.com/posts/terrabit/. We binarized the global Clay v1.5 Sentinel-2 embeddings from 183GB → 7GB and built TerraBit — a retrieval demo that runs with zero backend. DuckDB-WASM, cleverly partitioned GeoParquet on S3, and brute-force Hamming in an in-memory index makes the experience feel too good to be true. If you also wondered how Google's TurboQuant fares on compressing earth embeddings -- don't worry, we got you covered in the blog -- hint: TurboQuant int4 is a solid choice

This is big... Anthropic just announced a model so powerful they won't release it to the public out of fear over the damage it will cause 😨 Claude Mythos Preview found thousands of zero-day exploits in every major operating system and web browser... The numbers are hard to believe: > $50 to find a 27-year-old bug in OpenBSD, one of the most security-hardened operating systems ever built > Under $1,000 to find AND build a fully working remote code execution exploit on FreeBSD that grants unauthenticated root access from anywhere on the internet > Under $2,000 to chain together multiple Linux kernel vulnerabilities into a complete privilege escalation exploit For context: these are the kinds of findings that previously required elite security researchers working for weeks. Anthropic engineers with no formal security training asked Mythos to find exploits overnight. They woke up to working code the next morning. The results were so impressive Anthropic assembled Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, NVIDIA, and seven other organizations into Project Glasswing: A $100M defensive coalition. They're not releasing this model publicly. Instead, they're racing to patch the world's infrastructure before models like this proliferate.

Introducing Project Glasswing: an urgent initiative to help secure the world’s most critical software. It’s powered by our newest frontier model, Claude Mythos Preview, which can find software vulnerabilities better than all but the most skilled humans. anthropic.com/glasswing

Many do not realize how many farmsteads have been lost over the last 70 years in the Midwest. To determine the change, I mapped out the locations of farmsteads that existed in the 1950's for my SC IA township using the Iowa Geographic Map Server. ortho.gis.iastate.edu (1/5)

🐥Ed has now officially chickened out of 4 debates/forums. @Ky4thDistGop, @cpc4ky, NKY Young Republicans, & NKY Tea Party tried to sponsor a candidate forum on April 18, but Ed refused to attend. His billionaire handlers have ordered him to stay in the basement like Biden.

Ed has chickened out of 3 debates so far: Campbell Co. Forum @LinkNKY Debate @SpectrumNews1KY Debate He’s even scared of talking to reporters. You can’t be a voice for the people if you have no voice and don’t know what you stand for. Dems would run circles around him in DC.

Researchers at the University of Science and Technology of China have created an octopus-inspired robot called Spirob. It uses bioinspired soft technology to handle objects of various sizes, shapes, and weights with high accuracy. The robot is also easy and fast to produce in different sizes using 3D printing.

Same water. Same tank. But the one on the right has oysters. A single oyster can filter up to 50 gallons of water a day. Oyster reefs in the Chesapeake Bay once filtered the entire Bay, 19 trillion gallons, in under a week. Today, with less than 1% of the original oyster population remaining, it takes over a year. We ate them. We dredged their reefs. We dumped nitrogen into their water until the algae blooms choked what was left. And now we build billion dollar water treatment plants to do what oysters did for free. The Billion Oyster Project is working to restore oyster reefs in New York Harbor. Restored reefs in Maryland's Harris Creek can now filter the entire creek in under 10 days and remove nitrogen equivalent to 20,000 bags of fertilizer every year. Nature had this figured out. We just have to restore the oysters and get out of the way.
